You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

I found out a little over a month ago I am going to Korea in September. I had hoped to keep this character around until then and pick up once I had my feet on the ground there, but finishing things where I work currently, preparing to go to Korea, and trying to move my family before I leave the country have all become overly taxing. Apologies to Ilrahsek, Beroxxus, Ghuljun, and anyone else whose time I may have wasted.

I have to say that as Szordrin, you were the only character I really feared. I had nightmares that you would gaunt me while I was botting gold collection, but instead you gaunted me just outside udgaard. Well, seems I was lucky and you weren't in a right place to recieve me. Evil Conjies are Overpowered!

Had some fun interactions. Well done all around. Had a few funs duels with you.

Mind helping me out with a question I had on conjurers? Was curious about the demons you conjured. Last conjurer I played was back before the changes...and was a lightwalker. Heh. What do they do and which ones did you perfer?

Not going to give you any specifics, but will give you a few general impressions. Each demon is much more situational now meaning there are ideal fights for each demon, but fights in which the wrong demon will get you killed as well. Additionally each demon is looking for something different to appease it and a few will attack certain targets on site (in addition to what they did before). Challegha and Morossa I thought had the biggest drawbacks, though Challegha was probably my favorite demon overall when it wasnt killing me or my group. Mors-Gravis seemed to have the least drawbacks, but I never figured out what it wanted, which was a drawback for me. Harmentia was fierce, as long as I could keep one alive. Overall, old demons were easier to use, but these kept you on your toes more, or ate you (they usually ate me.)
