Most of this is just pasted from the char board at dioxides, but I added a bit for Khaso.

30 kills, 11 deaths for ~75% pk ratio. It was 100% at rank 39 and 120 hours, and fell steadily.

I'll post this on the officials once they pay their bandwidth bills.

Where to start. I'll start with Empire. If fun is located in midwestern USA, then being a blade in Empire is somewhere in rural China.

That said, I'll continue.

I rolled Knipit for rager, but Empire went in at the same time, so I rerolled orderly and decided to play it by ear.

Regretfully, I chose Empire, though I retained a dislike for mages.

I took the bloodoath, asked to be made a citizen, and Onglaurst did it. At the time, the only citizen blades were Wilhath and I, and I figured I had a fairly decent shot at being at the top of the Blade heirarchy.

Then one of my bloodoaths apparently asked to be promoted but Onglaurst did not find him worthy, so I demoted me. First he made me tell the cabal I was being demoted for being a failure, or something like that. I'm not sure exactly what happened because minotaurs are incomprehensible.

The bloodoath deleted because of it, so I continued being a bloodoath for a lot longer than I had been before.

Meanwhile Wilhath, among others, got several promotions.

Eventually Wilhath promoted me to citizen, and I figured Onglaurst might be impressed if I ranked up into hero range while everyone else ranksat.

So I ranked up, and had my first death at 120 hours or so. And continued dying because, well, I had no allies and all enemies. I went through 5+ returns and transportations each log on.

So I heroed, saw Onglaurst a few times, didn't hear a word from him. Lowbies were rising in the ranks, while ranksitting where Empire dominates. I was getting nothing, and trying my hardest. My friends were telling me about their lowbie empires successfully retrieving the codex and getting promoted for it. I can't count how many times I did that.

It really sucks to be the only person in your sect in hero range when the Cabal is set up to discourage intersect cooperation. It wasn't a far cry from being the only Imperial in hero range, for a while.

Then I died while adding to my role, because I thought I was inside the palace but I was at the entrance.

Then with my scant gear I tried to give Erenthell a solo fight, but an air/offense shifter flew in while I was entwined.

Then I went to equip and the same shifter came for me, and I realized I just wasn't having fun and that's a good time to stop playing.

Empire:

Onglaurst: It sucks having an imm you can't understand. An imm who acts on whim and has a temper. All IC, but all enough to deter me from ever playing another Blade sect. You didn't seem to like me, despite my best efforts.

Khasotholas: The time when you kicked us out of the palace and made Navarro delete really pissed me off. You bitched at us for not defending a 4-4 raid, but what you didn't know was there were 4 Warlocks in Hamsah waiting for us to return. Maybe if Empire had a divine sect, it would have been possible, but it was entirely unrealistic for you to expect us to defend.

Wilhath: You're cool, I enjoyed our talk. I logged and edited it, if you want it, e-mail me. I'm glad to see you rising in the ranks, but I don't understand what you did that I didn't.

Karatessa: Enjoy the boots.

Lao: Cool as always.

Faeras: I liked you.

Ildareen: I felt bad for you, but you really did try, and that made me like you.

Pupmancur: You really, really, really suck at pking. I left your equipment when I killed you because you seemed to need all the help you could get.

Vashka: Your death will live on in my mind eternally as one of those times where I had to stop and think, "What in the #### is going through this guy's head right now?"

All of Sylvan: None of you impressed me.

Ghuljun: You're a really lame lich, scaryness wise.

Zuhladyn: Most annoying.


Final words:

I had a bad combo for an imperial. I wasn't geared to fight invokers at all, and suddenly that's all there were.

I tried hard and got no reward, in Empire. I had no cabal powers, no encouragement, and a range full of goodies 95% of the time.

I heroed by soloing in Organia, grouping in Organia, and soloing Aridhol at hours no one else played. I wish I hadn't bothered.

First death at 120 hours, level 39
Eleventh death, 175 hours, level 51.

Woe.
