It was a lot of fun and not really a rage delete. Real life is getting busy and this seemed as good as time as any to end it.

My goal when I rolled was to have a good exploring character but also get some good PK action. That was accomplished. I started the role around that and just let it develop naturally. The architect ideas came to me as I went, but I thought it's something a Theran gnome might do. I never expected any of the changes to happen while I was still around.

There were lots of great experiences and only a few bad.

Lots of great Tribunals, especially Tivlin. The healing quest with Kiekua was fun. I didn't like Kiekua IC but did OOC, same with most Imperials.

Zizaerix was awesome. Thanks for all the interactions. Too bad we didn't talk more about magical plans, but I was only kind of pursuing it. My main goal was really just to get something in the Eternal Library.

Ishuli was the biggest disappointment. 600 hours! Lots of prays, notes, and emails. 0 acknowledgement! If there was something wrong with the character, a little IC feedback would have been nice. Maybe it wasn't me, since I remember at least two of your priests deleting over frustration of being ignored. This also played a factor in not sticking it out to age death, I didn't want to keep RPing some sap who's godess ignored him for centuries. Maybe you should move your religion to dormant?

The forms were assume. Shark can't tank very well, but it was still fun. It was hard to get kills because I either got owned or I just destroyed and they fled. There were not many close fights with the shark. Sea snake and shark was pretty good for exploring underwater, so that was cool. Cheetah was a great form. It's not as good as the rumors, and a lot of builds own cheetah, but it's really good. The trick to getting a kill seemed to be using the right amount of damage reduction to make the fight seem winnable to the opponent but not get killed. I also died a lot. The water enlivens really helped cheetah. It was my best underwater tank until the gargoyle. Gargoyle was awesome! It was like a top-tier defense form. It was great for exploring and being really hard to kill. It also gave me something I could defend the Spire with and not have to worry about pouncing on a non-criminal. I've only played about 5 hero shifters, so it was cool this worked out.

I don't play Tribunal much. It was fun. I never was going for leader, it just happened... twice. I made quite a few mistakes, but it's more fun to play aggressive. I just played it as Zindlup really cared more about stopping enemies of civilization than he cared about being a perfect Tribunal, but I did try to be a good Tribunal. I have no regrets with how it all went.

There were a lot of other cool allies I had over the long life. Grefflin was probably the most fun. Some stopped being allies, but it was still fun. Pretty much everyone kept things IC for like 600 hours, which is a lot better than I expected.

Most Outlanders were great enemies. I'm bad with names. My favorite was the gnome becoming evil because of the werewolf form. I didn't know exactly what was going on IC, but I could tell you were doing some cool, dark rp.

2nd biggest complaint for this char was the 2 cry-baby Outlanders. They both that said something like, "I wouldn't have fought you if I knew you were going to take something from my corpse." Especially since one time it was me mostly taking back stuff I lost when I was beat 3 vs 1 and the other time I only took one thing, which I replaced. If your character really cares more about gear than Thar-Eris, they should be kicked out of Outlander. If not, then you need to up your RP game. Everything left in your corpse is a gift from whoever killed you. I full-looted one person back in the early 2000's and felt really bad after. You two were making me want to do it again so that your complaints would be justified. Another good reason to just delete.

3rd complaint, giants talking like they are scholars. If your race has a help file about the speech, you should read it and stick to it. There could be a few role exceptions to this, but that should be really rare. It is really disappointing to deal with cloud/fire giants that speak eloquently.

Last complaint, orcs that try to argue finer points of the law. You are a chaotic, evil orc. You shouldn't care if you are wanted or not. Even though you are using an orc tone of voice, it's really hard to believe an orc would actually care or try to have a complex debate. Stupid orcs.

That's enough of a weird rant. There's lots of cool characters I didn't mention. Sorry. Longest lived character ever, but never been good at goodbye posts.

It's time for me to take a little break from CF cause RL. I'll try for a casual character later in the summer and maybe something serious again in the fall.

Your imperfect Tribunal service aside, I thought that Zindlup was a great character and I loved your role. It was certainly ambitious and I liked the idea of making magical transportation more prevalent and available throughout Thera. I wish you had gotten to pursue all of that a bit more and expand upon it. It seemed the few times you stopped by to have a chat about it over the last couple weeks, we just didn't line up though. Hopefully you still had a lot of fun with the character!

I hope real life eases up and gives you a break soon because you were a lot of fun to watch and contributed positively to the game. Good luck with whatever you come back as, whenever you decide to dig in again!

The real life stuff is mostly by choice. My wife and I bought a house in the fall. Now that the weather is nice, I've got work to do. I'm sure I'll find time for a casual character soon, but it also feels nice to take a little break too.

I was a huge fan of Zindlup and you were probably one of my top three favorite enemies, top 5 for sure. This sours it a little bit but overall enjoyed Zindlup's presence.


I realize I talked about the one item too much and it is really better to never mention it at all. Before that there were times you had killed me and times i had killed you and i don't think either of us had either taken anything even though you were generally much better dressed than i was. Apologies for getting whiny and I know you can never expect a courtesy you extended to be extended back to you. I also was part of the 3 on one you mentioned but don't know how much you lost there.

From the help file:

i think that would apply more to cabal dogma, like hanging out with necromancers or something. FWIW i personnaly witnessed more Trib errors from Zindlup than any trib i have seen before, but still a good char.

You were also one of my favorite enemies. I probably shouldn't have lumped you in with the others, but I was trying to keep things about actives vague.

The other character that complained about losing gear was 10x worse than you and you were not part of the 3v1 where I lost nearly all of my gear. I still think that for any cabal, if you are more worried about gear than your ideals, you should be kicked out or step up your rp.

Also, your speech may have been closer to human than giant, but you are not the eloquent giant that bragged to me about making someone delete. That was some terrible rp and borderline OOC.

At the end, it did feel like our conversations were getting borderline OOC even though I was trying hard to bring it back to IC. When I start thinking everyone is getting annoying, it's another good sign to just delete because the problem was probably me.

I agree about my errors. Zindlup was not a great Tribunal. I tried to handle the mistakes like Zindlup would. That made for some fun experiences too.

Overall, assuming you are who I think you are, you made the game more fun and I hope I didn't sour your experience too much.
