I had pretty much quit playing CF after 2019 but had some time on my hands last year and a little interest so started messing around with some ranger builds (being able to solo rank is important to me because I play off peak hours) and actually got interested again. I had kind of been wanting to give Empire a try so when Fely was anthema’d and there was a dread lord spot open I decided to give it a whirl.
I have never been that good at CF and I know APs get their heads caved in a lot. I never expected a big weapon but mt last AP, which I played to con death over a decade ago, did get to lightning control off of bash and sigil (I got like 14 charges off of one kill when I bashed Neps fort assassin to death after a failed assassination attempt and the captain at the time was a paladin build that was a good match up, would fight solo, and gave me 4 charges a pop). This time around I think everyone else left playing CF is pretty good and I have gotten worse so I never really built any momentum.
Anyway everything up to the first vote was a lot of fun. I voted for the Kiekua to be Emperor based on the age old axiom of keep your healers happy (more important than lag the healer first). I was still trying to get my feet under me and I didn’t really think a char under 100 hours deserved to be Emperor. I have had Emperor’s before but they were all chars that suffered a long time to get there.
After the vote didn’t pan out and deletions started I was still interested in seeing how the next one played out. The way it did play out felt like a kick in the junk and I almost deleted on the spot but decided to see how things went. I was going to delete two times before this but made the mistake of telling people before I did. I kind of wanted to roll up a desty shaman (I had already written the role and everything) but couldn’t when I still had the dreadlord.
The final straw for this guy was I did roll something else to mess around with while waiting for Imperial resurgence and I got interested in the other Char. I really can’t play more than one char that I care about at a time and Ruakua deserved to be dread lord over someone that was just holding the slot.
I will write a few thank yous and for anyone else reply and I will answer.
Destuvius: Our interaction was the highlight of this character and I appreciate you making an appearance outside of your normal play times. Shaman are my favorite class and there is a path I really want to try but I live in Hawaii now and spend a lot of time working in Asia so I have been intimidated by trying to get times to match up for empowerment and such. Next time Empire bottoms out I will give it a go.
Solenzara: My best ally. I don’t do inn event but I did enjoy yours. Your help made this experience much more palatable. I would freak out when my rods were looted because there were so many I could not get on my own. Most of my time was spent gathering rods or trying to recruit people to help me gather rods.
Kallara: The kinds words on a day I think I died 9 times (many mob deaths as well) actually made it a good day
Herald Bard: whose name I forgot: thank for the help with rods as well.
Orcs: Actually it’s nice to see orcs kicking ass even if it was mine that was getting kicked and you were all very cool. It didn’t feel quite right though the people I was talking to the most were orcs but there typically were not many Imperials during my time slot.
