You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

I wanted to take a moment to express my thanks for the fun ride I've had with this character, Lofki. This character holds a special place for me, being one of the very few I can recall, and my first hero – even if he was a Level 40 Goblin!

Lofki also marked my first in a cabal leadership position. Landing kills was tricky, with my lagging skill trip frequently outmatched by agile flying mages or larger characters. Despite these hurdles, it was fun to showcase Lofki's utility skills and the stats that made him a problem for some, assassins and shamans seemed to own me.

My time with Lofki didn't involve much Immortal interaction, but that's something I'm looking forward to changing with the next. I plan to to create someone specifically designed for more intentional Immortal interactions and to be a great explorer. While I've uncovered about 75% of the lands, that remaining 25% still feels as alien and unexplored as Mars!

To all my friends and frenemies – you know who you are – thank you. It's been a blast.
