So I had two ideas to experiment with/challenge myself with this char:

1) can I make a lawful evil Rillan follower in battle, basically someone who acts like the evil lawyer/accountant for a drug cartel or organized gang? And make him *feel* evil?

2) Would a dark-elf thief scout with tumbling cutoff be any good? Whenever I fought Xzelyx, those big ass critical hits + pole/stsf cutoff were so rough. So, backstab, critical, cutoff, win, maybe?

Well, both were fun, neither was remotely easy.

Kerklunken - I had fun conversations with you and Tauryna. I was legit trying reveal hypocrisy and corruption in spire (because of all that darn magic obviously) and of course, stir up trouble, and at first believed you might value order over your magic. But then you gave a crazy flag that made it seem obvious that you were indeed more on the side of chaotic magic and self promotion than order (complaining about Pinghili not warranting me for isolating you, then flagging a midbie for aiding crime when he was... literally retrieving), and so Veks made it his mission to discredit and defame you and ensure you would not be justiciar. To me, this was all very fun and I thought we were having a fun Cold War type of RP battle. I didn’t really care about the warrants ooc. I had fun with all our interactions, even being chased by that goddamn fox.

Other magistrates - you all gave me lots of ammunition for my propaganda, and I appreciate that. Sometimes I was testing limits the law or trying to force you to define and stick to policies (which from experience I know are typically very mutable and change from magistrate to magistrate), sometimes I did make a mistake, many times you made mistakes. If I came off as an OOC winner, that was a failure of RP, but it was a challenge I was aware of and found to be fun. I loved Mavnox, Rigus, Malvok, Moldrak, Ecdgitha. Ysi-, not so much.

Kopa, I wouldn't have made it to hero without your help. You and Kurpich got a lot of unfair hate, imo. Both always logged on during terrible odds, and some opponents would complain to me that you wouldn't fight them or that you looted too much. It's a tricky thing when as battleragers, if you kill an enemy, the things in their corpse can absolutely help thicken the veil, which is always always thin and we are always seemingly fighting an uphill battle. I for one DO NOT like calling truesight and losing 10-20% hp and stepping out of the shadows. Only toward the end did I start stealing things from players to help the veil, but for awhile (especially if I liked the character), I had a really hard time stealing that limited barrier rod and just throwing it in a trashcan.

Taivu, it was a gut punch learning that you were dabbling with Rillan, and like, we never talked about that bro? I was waffling if I should go scorched earth career criminal against spire, or try to keep up this I'm all about the law/fight inside the lines approach.

Nelfykh, you were so much fun and did such a good job mixing up your forms. It seemed like I could not gentle walk or sneak past the nightwalkers and wow did they really mess up my hit-and-run tactics. also my run-and-run tactics.

Livhne- I loved so much how you played along with me. "Bullying" you for smoothies brought a lot of much-needed levity into this char's life, and I feared the day battle found out I left a mage alone because he gave me delicious smoothies.

So about the build. Christ. I did not realize that at level 42 a dark elf thief would have ####ing falcon/cheetahs and yuki/foxes and paladins in his range. I think from 42 to 51 I lost 10 or 15 con. And up to 40, the build was actually pretty good, aside from no kill sealing or burst. But as I ranked up, those DISMEMBERS crit hits stayed DISMEMBERS, but all my opponents hit much harder. I def did not enjoy getting one-rounded by Bogdor. Tumbling cutoff was as good as advertised, but the problem is you don't lag them when you block their flee, so you might block them five out of six times, but those six times all happen in a few pulses. Also, wow, I had a ton of success with weaponbutt.

But again, having low hit points and having no way to heal if bleeding, it took one bad bite to send me running. Say what you will, but it really sucks that you can't even buy a friggin' band-aid in the village.

But my allies were great (you too Mecesha!), enemies were great, and even though circumstances were brutal, hide and acrobatics are a helluva drug, and I had fun all in all.

A lot of what you said about current events isn't factual, I can specifically speak to the instance of the 'midbie getting flagged for literally retrieving' in that there was no retrieving going on, villagers were raiding for the Scales and he was aiding with songs.

4. Participating in an assault upon the Spire itself is considered a
criminal act.

You def came off as OOC and whiny because there are like 9 notes you wrote about yourself and other villagers getting flagged to say why there wasn't a crime and how people need to go read the books in the spire.

It was neat to see someone trying something new with a thief build.

Every bit of OOC animosity Kopa and the other you mentioned receive is warranted. Full saccing has no place in CF if you want to keep playing with other people. If you write a note that says you are intentionally full saccing people in a cabal to make them leave forever like Kopa did, good riddance and there's no defending that. You brushing it off as 'oh they took some magic items' when a newbie mage gets sac'd multiple times in a row is lame.
