Genuinely sad to see you deleted, but the AP struggle is a behemoth and I imagine playing literally anything else felt more appealing in the moment that you died.

I would have loved the chance to RP with more with Modasien - I'm always intrigued when an Imperial has a stance or takes the time to RP about mundane disagreements that neither side will change their mind on.

Hope we can be on the same side at some point, since you seem like a fantastic ally and cabalmate. And as everyone else has said, you've been a class act in this thread.

GLWYN!!

Damnit!!! I had so many plans for you and for your weapon, once I would take it from you. It would be a torment you would never forget (with you getting it back, at the end, of course). I think destroying APs weapon and force them to delete is lame. As well as I think you should stick it out and built another weapon, but I never experienced such loss, so perhaps I would do the same

I gave my vote in character choice for you as for someone who gives me the most uneasy feelings, making it a tie, while you've been just 40-41 level. I knew you would hero and you would be an extremely dangerous enemy. So, now your reward will be mine, muahahaha! But again, pity

Good luck with your next, you always make a cool characters that are fun to interact.

I can't bring myself to destroy AP weapons (or even leech them lol) either. I understand why people do though and don't blame them at all.

Thanks for the vote! If I'd been any other race I probably would have carried on, rebuilding a drow just was an immediate "nope" reaction from me in the moment though. Hopefully I'll be back with something new soon. Maybe something less creepy... but who knows

Why rebuilding drow is so difficult? Because of the low base hps? If so, I had a cool solution for you. You should have died to me! )

Partly hp, partly damroll. The low base stats of drow has definitely raised my appreciation for the high str/con AP builds, even though drow definitely has its own excellent advantages. The last thing I really wanted to test was lashes with a decent weapon stacked with sigil and malefic glow edge. I wanted another five or so charges before swapping over to whip (ironically, if I'd done this without those charges, I'd have not lost my weapon in the first place). Getting back to that point though would be a very long process, especially for something I wasn't honestly convinced would work given my previous lashes tests (or at least, work in such a way that it was a genuinely superior choice to straight iceball).

I think if I did this again I would be tempted by scion over empire. Black circle is probably the best charge building power out there and sigil is a terrifying force multiplier once you have lightning control, but it'd be an interesting thing to see how much quicker it could ramp up if you could gear for hp less and throw more gear slots at buffing up the damroll in the early stages (and nightwalker is no slouch in the damage department, of course). Something for 2021 maybe!

This was a very good learning experience. Still kicking myself for how it ended, but c'est la vai. Drow AP was a ton of fun, something I'm sure I'll return to at some point in the distant future. I did find edges to be extremely restrictive in terms of their costs though, that is one thing I had not run into as lower int APs.

Way too many people that I crossed paths with, so just off the top of my head:

Zraldar: amazing ally. I had a lot of respect for both the character and the player, tough as nails and handled adversity like a boss. Enjoyed playing with you a huge amount, a very deserving Emperor.

Ollmurath: great rp and a really great ally. It occured to me the day after the death that if I'd summoned you instead that could have gone very, very different. The curse of hindsight.

Saerha: enjoyed the times we overlapped, really a shame we didn't get to fight together more.

Rahs (I assume): thanks for the rc reward. I would've literally started using boneblade affinity some time in the next 24 hours before my recklessness caught up with me, but cryptborn was such a subtle but huge upgrade to this build. Helped me in a multitude of situations, especially since noone knew I had it.

Kira: I'm honestly a terrible AP because I can't bring myself to take another AP's weapon. I'm glad in a lot of ways though because it would've been a shame to lose that relationship.

Itz: sad we didn't get to scrap more other than that one brief scuffle around Hamsah. Enjoyed the talks pre hero though.

Graevnik: what a legend. Loved our banter, super impressed how relentless you were. I've never seen someone pick them self up and come back for more without complaining at all like you do.

Neajess: Neajess! I think we must play opposite times during the week or something. Our showdown was going to be like the final scene of Highlander.

Leuoa: really enjoyed the back and forth. You spurred my paranoia to ridiculous levels on this character. I winced irl at that last fight, that was a rough one. I very much considered taking the twitchy edge just because of you, but I couldn't afford it if I wanted my higher priority edges.

Cedany: I enjoyed the talks. Getting to argue with elves as a drow is one of the best things about being one.

Ulitius: dude. This build was -brutal-. You were my "most daunting character to fight" in the rate the players.

Vharra: felt bad about that kill in the dream. Damn mistaken identity. Appreciated that you talked to me after, that's really rare.

My one regret is not dying like three days earlier so I could apply for the char challenge. Think this is the second one I've missed like that now...

There's a lot to be said for being a class act towards enemies. I was much, much more willing to fight you even though I knew I had almost no chance of killing you. Even if it risked making you stronger, I enjoyed having you around.

Compare this to some other powerful APs over the years, I would do almost anything to avoid them and risk making them stronger.

I think it's a lesson to all of us that showing your enemies respect and providing some good banter will net you a lot more fights and likely more kills, regardless of whether you're an AP or not.

I enjoy a good verbal back and forth. It adds a lot to the experience I think. That said it did almost get me killed once when I was typing up a tell and another AP walked up and tried to sleep me, haha.

I was very bummed to see this. You were a great presence and I was very impressed with the kill count you were putting together.

I will miss you and wish we had more time to run together.

Buying into your own hype as an AP is the most dangerous thing. I got to feel I was unstoppable and didn't take proper precautions, so here we are.

Very well done with Modasien, I really enjoyed the time around with you. A competent and skilled ally is priceless. Sided with that, you were cool and classy.

I can say it’s the second time I ended up by your side in the same cabal, and both times your attitude and presence made a lot of difference. I hope you let it go and return soon to CF, players like you make worth playing.

On my side was something like this: I saw him near the tree. Nevermind. Some time later, I need back up. And I crossed Thera on foot and arrived at the area in time. You asked me to summon and I kept failing (insects I think), summon me would be good, run straight to you would be good... but you always knew what you were doing, it influenced me otherwise.

I’m still kickIng myself for listening. I should have run straight to you and aristaeia.

Man, good luck with your next. Thanks for the fun and know, you are already missed.

Yeah, I was well and truely off my game there. I think it was my huge saves - I should've done a remove all, but the panic had well and truely set in by that point. I was actually amazed you got there in time at all! That one was entirely on me, there were definitely avenues to survive, if longshots.

I'll definitely be back soon, just takes me a while to decide on what to play next usually. Good luck!

...you can't be summoned if you have insects on you. Or transported regularly, exceptions are the orb if travel, and so on. But, perhaps I'm just mistaken!

It seemed like it was just going to get interesting with your big weapon and you had just won the player's choice award.

It was fun. Good luck with the next one.

So sad to see this and hear about it. Unfortunately, didn't get a fight to settle the age old question, is dark-elf or fire giant stronger. Was ready for the hopeful bash down in town. I saw you heroed, changed my play style and weapons, few days later you were gone. Very disappointed and hopefully I can learn from this. You did awesome through and through, we had great little chats and this just adds to the highs and lows of Neajess.

See you in the fields, hopefully on my side next time.

Great job.

Saw so many lowbies talking about how rough fighting you was so I was very afraid of facing you. Just got lucky that last fight that you were over-confident and I had the beastcall to aggro you before you could sleep spam. Well fought and GLWYN.

You did everything right and I did everything wrong. I was trying to blind the wolf and should've just sigiled and gone hard, then I ran the wrong way and hoped you'd not follow out of forest.

Great job. That one will haunt me for a while .
