I enjoyed playing Llyion immensely. I'm sorry to hear that I was so widely hated. On the flipside, I love you all! Dont hate someone just for being bad at a game. Anyways. Llyion was mt first char in many years. I wanted to make a longer lived race just to see if I could age death it. Turns out I cant. I thought I had the oatience to wait out an elven lifetime, but I have run out of steam and someone else deserves a shot at Provost. I played for over 1000 hours so I did pretty good I think. Ive never been as skilled at pk as you ultra power players out there., but I do enjoy being a part of Thera. Due to lack of PK skills I have traditionally played Heralds in the past. I created Llyion in August 18 when my brother died suddenly at the age of 31. I figured if I played a nice friendly char that was alwayshappy that it woulf rub off onto me IRL. That is why i never pursued arguments. I had enough hostility in my head so yeah..hide;noreply. Playing a char that was mostly positive and kind to others helped my real life mood shift in that direction. I had no idea that I would be a leader of any sorts. I just wanted to an age deathed elf. Turns out that you become a leader when you stick around long enough. When I first became provost I had a hard time with it. So much so that I stopped playing for three monthsbut kept Llyion from autodeleting. I know my role wasnt great since i never won a role contest but I tried. I had an RP reason for my disappearance. I know some policies made people angry, but you simply cant please everyone.

Im not sorry for any of the things that I did. It was my first time in a leadership position and I did the best I could.

I saw that elf with a 1600 hour life span and thought SCREW THAT. Thanks to everyone out there that didn't hate my guts. Thanks to all the awesome friends I made along the way.

Morti! You were fun in each skin. I love you and never change! I know each skin you were in and in fact I think two of them are personally mentioned in my role.

Two all of you who hated me... I love you. Don't be so serious. It's just a game. You could die tomorrow. Do you really want a petty irritance with a player in an outdated game to be your last thoughts??

Ishuli, thank for taking the time to teach me instead of kicking me to the curb. Everyone thinks you just gave me stuff.... you were hard on me when I first came back. I found each of our conversations engaging and enlightening. You taught a noob how to be a Provost (depending upon whom you ask).

Peace out.

I think you're confused.

No one is saying they didn't like you because you were new, or because you were bad at PK or because you made questionable Tribunal policies. They're saying it because if their IC interactions with you.

You outright insulted people then immediately did a hide/noreply. That isn't trying to avoid an argument or be "nice" or avoid hostility. That IS being hostile. It's also just being an OOC jerk.

You had people (including my own Trib) come up to you and say "This decision doesn't make sense. Can you explain it?" And you immediately shut them down without further discussion. That isn't being nice. That's being a terrible leader.

I don't hate you as an individual, but I absolutely hated the character Llyion that you were playing. This isn't me being "too serious" about a game, it's trying to point out how you could (and should) try to do better next time.

If you don't want to listen to constructive criticism, fine. Don't. But don't try to pretend like you're taking the high road.

Guess our bench outside the Captain is empty now with both of us gone. Had a blast hanging out with you while you watched the world roll by. I'm sorry to hear about your brother and I'm glad this character helped. Hope you have as much fun with whatever you do next and I look forward to seeing you in the fields.

Ah, my feathery friend. You always came to my perpetual station just outside of the Spire. You were a far more interesting character than me, as a Herald should, but I loved Vindelph. We had plenty of awesome conversations, me as an old elf and you as an old bird. They really should put a bench there with a small plaque enscripted. To other Magistrates you were decent and relatively cool, you made the induction process easy and promoted those who put in the time.

To your enemies you were one of the worst people in the mud to deal with and widely hated.

It was so weird going from Trib to Outlander/Trib to Villager. It was like you were two completely different players.

It was frustrating mostly because you seemed to have no qualms ignoring people breaking the law if the person breaking the law was your enemy and the person not breaking the law wasn't. For example you'd call villagers to defend from mage Outlanders, then go to Voralian City and ignore the crimes in Galadon that I know you were getting notifications of. This happened more than once and you'd just say 'I didn't witness it.' Stuff like that I'm not exactly sure why it was allowed, but I get that IMMs let people RP their chars and try not to be heavy handed.

It was a really long lived character that certainly was hero and both anti-hero in CF, so on that good job.

I'd say both perspectives on Llyion are fair. Well done on the long lived character. You get an A+ on that but you were between average to below average everywhere else. '

You did better than a lot of people who played for 20 years but using them as standards of success...I'd say is a bad idea. Just understand you were neutral leaning good for 90% of your life from what I saw.

I've got a single #### to give...and it's just for you.

I interacted with you with a bunch of different characters, including a couple Tribs. Every interaction I had with you, as both ally, enemy and a neutral party were all pretty much the same. You'd shut down any real conversation, any interesting dialogue or disagreement and refuse to even discuss it.

As an Elf Magistrate eyeing Justiciar (Valiandos), I tried to open up a dialogue about a (really bad) decision that you made. Your answer was "I've been doing this a long time. I don't need to discuss it." Which, yeah.. that's just plain ####ty when you're supposed to be leading people and teaching them how to enforce the law. I was a subordinate, and a fellow Elf, and you wouldn't even have a conversation. That was just lame and frankly made it hard to justify continuing on with the character.

I also witnessed you call people idiots and refuse to speak anymore (noreply;hide is extremely lame in a RP game).

All in all, I think you were probably a decent Magistrate, but a terrible leader, terrible Elf and terrible good-align.

Wow! Congratulations, well done! 1022 hours, geewhiz man!

In my book you're one of the all-time great Provosts, sir! I remember levelling with you when you were just a level 20-something elf thief in the Forest of Nowhere.

I remember nominating you for promotion to Provincial and later being succeeded by you as Provost.

I remember when I led you to the Kuo-Toa Lair to re-gear, and we ended up being both killed by that angry Outlander druid no. 1027B (hehe), yeesh!

Man, you're simply awesome and it was a joy to see how Llyion evolved and advanced, matured like a fine wine. And to think, all along Llyion was Llyion - from our very first interactions to the last, while in the meantime I had changed skins maybe 3 or 4 times.

Thank you for being the fine in-game IC friend that Llyion has been, thank you for being the rock solid twice-Provost that you were (thanking you here because I'm addicted to Tribunal and you were a huge positive for the cabal), thank you for being an inspiration, a class act and for showing us one model of Tribunal goodie done right!

Not sure what you intend next in terms of your CF journey, but I'm excited to see what you come up with next, player of Llyion. Bravo, applause, and again CONGRATS!

Thank you for the kind words. I was heavily influenced by the Provost before me. I mimicked her attitude and loved it. The first skin you were in when I was in my lvl 20s. She is the one who made Llyion lose hatred for drows.... and made steps to completely tolerate dark races and classes. I had at least 3 necro provincials because of the tolerance I learned from you. It was fun. It was like learning to deal with real life racism and overcoming it. Anyways, loved playing the game with you. For sure.

Overall a massive thumbs down from me. The blatant favoritism you received was eye rolling. You were obviously new to CF and you made an unbelievable amount of career ending mistakes but for whatever reason you kept being given chances and promotions. Totally bizarre. It's clear it is who you know not what you know.

Respect your perspective, and things look differently depending on where one is looking from - I appreciate and acknowledge that, so please don't take this as a rebuttal or anything hostile, etc.

Just would like to offer that his being obviously new and yet so enduring, being able to take a beating and still stand up, being teachable and able to learn from his mistakes (to err is human, to forgive?), are all things that perhaps we can value though...

Llyion was such a long-lived character, he had his ups and downs - there were periods or instances of cringe, sure, but there were also highpoints which only seemed to increase and grow the longer he endured, survived then started to flourish.

For what it's worth, having been in various Tribunal roles across four mains overlapping much of Llyion's lifetime, yes he did occasionally slip up (as do many other Magistrates, including me) but the thing was he was very open to being corrected, and he also did make the effort to learn from his mistakes, and later to help others avoid repeating his mistakes.

I really respected this guy for rolling with the punches, for being able to say sorry, accept a spanking and move on. His promotions, from my perspective, did not come so easily as some others might think, and I understood from Llyion firsthand that Ishuli did give him a hard(er) time when he returned after a period of absence to offer his services as Provost again.

Really hope this helps, and if it doesn't then I apologise in advance for having offered a contrary view.

This may come as a shock to you but this was first char in six years. I didnt know anyone or have any connections whatsoever. I have never had a friend that plays CF IRL.Most people stop playing MUDS when they are 15.There is no conspiracy. I hope you get the medical help you need to deal with your paranoia. Best wishes.

Had you stuck it out *just* a bit longer you would have gotten a brilliant age-death.

Either way outstanding job, impressive character evolution, wonderful Tribunal-work (you really seemed to get it down to a science at the end), fun arguments in both agreements and disagreements, and overall nicely done. You had ups, you had downs, but with THAT many hours put in (a thousand is a TON!) I think overall Llyion will be remembered fondly by most.

Swell done, and sorry that IRL got busy for me during your final era so I wasn't as around as I was during your earlier one.

GLWYN!

Oh well. Spilt milk...

I saw that elf with 1600 hrs. At the end I played about 10 hours per week (most of which I spent writing notes.) I just could not play Llyion for that long
At that rate it would have taken a year or two extra. Hard pass.

It is age that determines when you die, and you had a ton.
You were 1134 years old, so you were pretty much at age death. Take it from some one who age died two elves, they go out around 1150-1200 years old. And elves even as leaders age around 1 year for each hour.

No Mortal char can go 1600 hours, with maybe the exception of a leader dark elf necro that goes through the becoming.
But a basic run of the mill elf, melee class (which I think die slightly younger), even if a leader on day 1, probably can only go to maybe 1100 hours or so.

Still, nice job on playing something that long. Always good to see people willing to stick with a char for a long time.

Some others lasted longer from like 15 years ago, but I think that's a good measure of an Elf leader.

Llyion didn't spend as much time as leader though, so that probably skewed him a little bit.

There was an elf name Lauraine that was either 1500 hrs or 1500 years old
She is an elf healer and surpassed Unseraxyl the age deathed undeed. Bravo to both of them.

Thank you for the kind words. Aurew was basically what I figured would happen to me. But there is an elf on qhcf pkstats
... something like that
.. there is an elf that lived 1600 hours
That is what made me delete. I thought I might have 500 more years to live so I gave up the ghost.

Aurew was weird to me when I came back. You were very enthusiastic about me becoming Provost again and then when I did, you wouldnt help me with stuff. Which I respected your reasons and still do. Was just wondering if that was you or another elf. We all look the same you know.

800 of those hours were as an immortal, based on the PBF timeline.
