You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

You called hunt on me because I was "helping the provost" in Veran (you couldn't fight him). I killed hunt and flew across the world to rest. You chased me attacked and ended up killing me in the air.

Then I tell you he was helping ME and I help the tree plenty. You act like you're helping me find my corpse when in fact you're looting most of my things (including darkened armor?). To justify this, you tell me I shouldn't be with the provost.

Then you have the nerve to ask me what all those unique artifacts do?

In your defense, you did offer me some snow worm gear.

Maybe it was in your role to be a douche, so maybe good RP.

And rolling with a tribunal is a perfectly good reason for an outlander to kill you.

He’s not a goodie. He doesn’t have to have a long conversation with you to decide whether you ‘deserve’ it. Merely working with the tribunal is sufficient evidence.

And as has always been: if you die, your things are completely at the disposal of those who get to your corpse first.

No, I did not play the character in question.

I did not say anything that disagreed with your points. I just thought the whole thing with moving the goal posts after you tell me why you attacked...the sheer amount of loot (including things she could not use), the deceptiveness once I explained myself "Try looking by the wall") then asking how to use certain artifacts...in my opinion...was in toto a douche move by the player.

It's a legit chaotic neutral RP. He just doesn't give a ####. He kills you then talks with you casually then loots your armor, then helps you then helps grandma go across the street, then kills her because she's Provost's mom.

Why are you telling me that his behavior was IC? We covered that. In my first post I said it could have well been in character.

I'm not criticizing the character. I'm criticizing the player. Just about any way he chose to behave would have been arguably in role. But, he chose to behave like a douche, in my opinion. You can have a different opinion, but you cannot talk me out of mine.
