You survived through I believe 3 of my characters, 2 I know of and one I am not so sure. You were the bane of me when I played Temden. But then it didn't really matter because I had no power in my forms. You did a really good job, I just wish I had the drive to finish Grazzakt, I knew you kinda liked me because you actually talked, unlike most of the other leaders ive come across. Im not sure if you were around when I was Darantin, though I believe you were. Anyway, extremely well done, and you will be on the pillar for sure.

I enjoyed being near you you were very interesting. Your specs and you being a sapper Defender was always quiet amusing. I thought you were one hell of a rager in spirit and in heart. I remember many times aid'n you in raiding nexus I saw you die for the head twice then you decided not to let them enjoy your blood. I wish I could have been around longer when you was.

See you around.

Well, for those who wonder. I had Harmonious equilibrium, which was awesome, expect against bashing legacies. I could recover from a trip very quickly, or anything, cranial, lion raking whatever, but not that damned bashing legacy

Second legacy was crappy for me, Vanguards Desire. THe concept is cool, and for a non-warrior cabal, with a few warriors, it would be awesome. However, for the most part, I only chose it for my roleplay. If you read my role, you can see why.

Hand To Hand, and i hope the Imms respond, needs more tweaking. There are some very awesome skills with H2H. I wish the ironhands change had gone in when I was young, I think my pk ratio would have been quite a bit higher. I did notice the difference. Also, pummel and crushing blow are the same skill. Yes, Crushing blow can knock a person down, but not for very long. THe lag on both is long, and the only difference is the knocking down, or if you miss a pummel, its two ticks instead of three. However, they are basically the same, which was frustrating. I think pummel should be more like drum. The skill says it stuns, but I never saw that make a difference in a fight.

Whips, well, those were awesome. Being able to strip while I fought someone else, was awesome. I didn't know I could do that til later, and I'm sure once I figured it out, I pissed even more people off. Oh well, thems the breaks so they say.

I was bummed when I heard you log in and I who'battled and didnt see you.. I knew then that you were a ghost.

I do not know if you rember, but I helped you out a little when I was a little tacker and think I prevented you getting a surprised by a conjurer who was hunting you down. We talked a bunch and I sensed that you were old school. Esp how you were a defender and not blundering around in the dark about it.

I was glad that I was about to spend your last few minutes with you, however it appeared that you were deistracted heavily by the gods above... I passed on your words of wisdom to all the village and I hope that you make another rager so I can play with you again.

Melkorath, old school rager giving it a whirl again.

Ha you mentioned me! Once again you didn't let me down!

You reccomended me and then forgot you did though during the long process of becoming a Villager. That was funny, just goes to show how busy you must be. Thanks all the same for the help, and I fought you quite a bit with a different character and knew you were an extremely annoying fighter to deal with, so Kudos on eveything you accomplished.

Wow, where do I start, Guenrayn was by far the most fun character I've played in awhile. I had been having a pretty good streak of deleting around 200 hours, and this is the first char I think I've let con-die since Creon. Yes, I've played many ragers, but I'll get back to that later. I want to start with the farewells.
I actually wrote down names for the first time in any character, because I didn't want to forget people.

Lets start with the Immortals:

Intronan: I was honored to be among the ravens. I was even more honored that you found me worthy of my last name. Even though, in death I'm giving away much, I hope that I have a shot at the pillar still. Your religion was fun for me, and I'm glad I could be a part of it. The instance concerning a certain orc still bugs me though. On the one hand, you were right, in that he was not a marked hunter, but on the other hand I think part of leadership is thinking for yourself. I had judged the case of Behnestkitn for quite some time. I had been friends with him in younger days. I had then watched him turn against us completely. HE no longer just struck me with them, which I knew he would do, but then he started bashing me. So, you could say I had been a true leader, and had foresight of what was going on. However, i know you did what you had to do, and I'm happy for it. It was funny though to see a few days later Kastellyn's note that basically said "Just because a person isn't marked, doesn't mean you can't go hit them" I'm guessing you didn't discuss this together, because it showed a little disharmony. I'm sure you will comment on this.

Thror: Well, I died and I didn't get to have Sapper-Trained in my final epitaph here on the board. Thank you for finding me worthy of it. There are some of the village who don't think I deserve anything, however, I don't think they ever saw the things some of us went through or tried to do. I'm not saying I was special, I just know when the odds are stacked against me! Anyway, thank you for the fun quest, for killing me with Brulgar, and stuff like that. Thank you for the confidence in me. Long ago, I disliked you, I left the village as Chalin not wanting to return for awhile. I do remember though, one time when I had written something ina note, and you asked me ot come back. Well, about a year and a half afte that, I rolled up Guenrayn, to see what the "new" battlerager cabal was like. I'm impressed, and one thing that helped me a lot before being a rager again, is that i've read every R.A. Salvatore book, and I liken you to Bruenor Battlehammer. You are awesome, keep the village in line for me!

Kastellyn: I always loved you with previous chars, we had morts together, but I can't remember for the life of me which. I was glad to be a part of your return to thera. Thank you for the encouragement you often gave me. It wasn't often, but it was always appreciated.

Battle:
Bryvac - My commander, you were an inspiration to Guenrayn, and a true friend to him. It took me awhile to get to ya for my final interview, but after that, it was hard to separate us. You always wanted my damn bandages! You will always be Guenrayn's commander, with Grogim barely behind

Grogim - You know Guenrayn liked you a lot, and felt honored to fight by your side. The whole Drahk thing made me want to con-die all the faster just so I wouldn't have to put up with him. Its not that I didn't like him, I just didn't like a stupid power struggle within the village.

Tobeldest - My late night brother. We were often on together into the wee hours in the morning. You died ranking me to hero, and I kept your arse alive plenty of times. You always said things to me that made me feel appreciated by at least one person. Defenders kinda get a crappy wrap, in that everyone demands from you, but nobody thinks your capable of much, I hope I proved many naysayers wrong, probably most of which raised eyebrows at my specs choice.

Nourn - My general, you were Guenrayn's mentor and friend. Thank you for being such a good person to look up to. I still remember the fiasco over the tribunals raiding us. I'm glad you didn't lose your generalship over it. You were solid.

Valarath - Strong giant, strong villager, didn't know you well, but you made impressions when I saw you.

Rustanviel - You made my role believe it or not. You and Tauser. I'll be posting it, and you can let me know what you think. Sorry I never wrote stories, when I post my previous ragers, you will realize I could probably tell you a few from way back when. I used to fight against Guerric in a previous life.

Palesson - I posted on your memorial, however, I will never forget all the trips to organia, all the fights together, and all the good times we had. Thank you for being a strong villager to fight alongside.

Darmok - That little annoying elf that I never understood until well into my leadership days. I love your roleplay, keep your head up, you will always be remembered by me. You have consistently been exactly what you said, and that my friend, is awesome, especially when a role is as hard as yours is.

Paschal - You left too early, I wanted you to be an officer with us, but I could see your interest was waning. I wish I could have been there for you more.

Gholrhun - Liked ya, you were a strong fighter, and you didn't whine within the village. So you know, I've played many ragers, and many otehr things, and this is the first char in a long time that I've gotten interactino with. My last char, was a follower of Bria, tattooed and all, and I didn't get anything from her beyond my tattoo. Saddened me.

Tauser - Liked you a lot, I'm fairly sure your pretty new to battle, but I liked teaching you a few things. I hope I came across as a friend and mentor, not a bastard who thought you sucked. I honestly watched you progress very very well. You were in my role, because you were one of the few ragers around quite a bit when I was, and i needed a real person in it. Well, the part your mentioned in, had to do with my last name. Thanks.

Sayangu - You are a great Assassin and fighter. I think I told you once, but I always wondered how much more effective of a killer I would have been, had I had deathblow.

Drahk - Glad your Captain, not glad about the crap that went on between us. Stay strong, keep killing those blasted scions.

Koaeb - Always liked you, could tell you were kinda new to things, and I'm glad you are back in the village. Keep plugging away.

Kiyhruus - You also left way too quickly.

Jehegaciel and Senimar - You two are the Mending Paw's pledges. Keep working hard, make the Bloodclaw proud!

Namuzi, Brekath, Melkorath, and the other youngsters. Continue to fight hard, be dedicated and it will pay off.

The enemies, this list will be much shorter:
Scion:
Anith - You were awesome, and great at what you do. Keep it up my friend.

Trajeona Lil Waela - I thought you were a whiner, thats about it.

Khurmen - Well, I tooled you when you were a spectre, then, you liched and started kicking my arse all over thera. Helps to have people attached to your hip though.

Vortigern - All I gotta say is, i HATE ROT!

Silaseth - Fun fights, Aginal took over for ya at the end there.

Nexus -
Bazhans, Zherukin - Fun fights, many fun times. I got you guys quite a bit, and I'm sure taking all your weapons really ticked you off there. However, you guys bashed me to death a few times as well.

Kragnar - Yes, I know your not nexan now, but you were. I hated you, basically that about sums it up. At first, you were ok, you didn't full loot, you were fun to fight, then it jsut got really old really fast.

Faerk - I remember getting you because you helped your mercenary when I killed it. That was my most fun victory in some ways. Gotta love entwine.

Talin - Bastard assassinates me at the blood square, when six foes are about to raid. I can't believe I missed that damn dash.

Kyeila - Fun fights with you as well. THanks for the good times. However, that one fight where you rammed and Kragnar bashed me all the way down..really sucked.

Kierning - You didn't prepare much, fun fights though.

Lets see, the warlock invoker crew. I loved getting you guys in your own home. The time we came against four of you, at the sorceress, and there were four of us, was truly, awesome. You guys all fell, except one of the invokers. I don't remember the names right now, but if you write, I respond.

To any others, if you write, I'll respond.

Guenrayn BloodClaw the Mending Paw, Sapper-Trained General of War

Here is a list of formers
Sylvan - Simyar, Weswin, Danical, Aliborni
Scion - Meridius, Sintarlin
Knight - Felix
Shadow - Sakaii

BATTLE - Fleix, Chazyl, Manzyl, Minyar, Tinsen, Dilon, Josiah, Creon, Chalin

Yes, I reused Creon's last name, for those of you who know the pillaer. However, I played him like 3 years ago, and honestly, I never gave hi mthat last name!

Many fun times,

Aaron aka Minyar

ROLE:

As an onlooker surveys the scene, they see a human slavemaster with a whip in hand standing tall above a group of felars. The cats are cowering in the corner, crying and begging not to be struck. The slavemaster grins evilly and says, “Brensen has ordered for your group to be whipped, for you have not found enough reagents fast enough. Maybe this lashing will make you learn a bit about work.” The slavemaster then fiendishly begins to lash out with his cruel whip. The young felars run about trying not to get hit. The slavemaster finishes beating the felars and then turns back to the leopard spotted one. He looks at him and says, “and now for you Guenrayn, you were the lead felar of this crew. Turn around, and present your back, if you cry out, you shall get more.” Guenrayn turns his back to the slavemaster with a slight grin. The slavemaster is enraged by the petulance of this small felar, the runt of his family. “I shall enjoy this” the slavemaster states. He begins to lash at the young cat, but no sound is heard from his lips. Finally, the slavemaster relents, but as he turns to walk from the room he says to Guenrayn, “Now to go find that weakling you call a father, for he will surely cry out!” At this Guenrayn turns around and says “No!” The slavemaster, hearing what he wanted, turns back and brings his whip to bear. The snaps the vile thing toward Guenrayn and the felar simply puts his left hand forth, letting the whip wrap around it. Using his surprising strength Guenrayn yanks the slavemaster back to himself, and Guenrayn quickly drives his foreclaw into the throat of the slavemaster, stifling his cries. The slavemaster grabs at his throat, drops his whip, and starts crawling for the door in pain. Guenrayn quickly grabs his whip, and ties it about the throat of the injured slavemaster. The slavemaster tries to untangle the cruel whip from his throat, but Guenrayn’s ironhand will not be undone. The slavemaster quickly loses all consciousness and slips into darkness forever. Guenrayn turns quickly to his companions and instructs them to blame him for all actions. He then takes the slavemaster's keys and whip, and unlocks the doors. He finds a sewer grate in the main hall and quickly lowers himself in to wait for nightfall. As night makes its way to the felar encampment, Guenrayn slips out the back door of the compound, and steals off into the night.

Added Sun Sep 29 23:04:01 2002 at level 28:
Silence is all that can be heard as you regard the room. Before you in the
dim light of the torches you see a massive pillar. A pillar dedicated to
heroes long passed, but heroes still remembered. Before you is the pillar of
the Battleragers, a symbol of their legacy and courage. On this pillar are
then names of thirty-four ragers who have come before. Their names are here
because their lives were a testament to courage, to brotherhood, and dedication
to the tablet of the Battleragers. It is at the foot of this Unbreakable Pillar

that we find Guenrayn. He is basking in is glory, and in the memory of those
long-past. Another of the village approaches the young felar, and asks him
what he is doing. Herein is that conversation:

"Guenrayn, what are you doing?" the young assassin asks his friend. "I am
burning the names of this pillar into my mind, for I will not forget the
lives they gave up for their dedication to that which I hold sacred."
"Aye my friend" the Assassin replies, "but i find you sitting here often, and
often I note a tear in your eye. Why does this bring such emotion?"
"I have read the history of our clan, of this village, and I also know the
history of my people. Long have my people suffered under the magi, many
going without much in their life. Did you know, that I don't even have a last
name?" Guenrayn turns to look at the Assassin. The Assassin turns to him and
says "Then pick one for yourself my friend, there are many who have come before
you, many felars who have fought and died for this village, take one of
their names, but if you do, live up to it my friend, live up to it." Guenrayn
shows his fangs as he smiles broadly. "Thank you friend, I shall choose one
for myself, and I shall live to prove my worthiness of it." His Assassin
friend turns and walks away smiling. Guenrayn turns back to the pillar and
whispers "May I be worthy of your last name, Creon Bloodclaw, Leader of Battle."

As you peer into this grisly room you have a hard time seeing with its dim lighting.
It seems like all of the focus of the light falls upon a throne, surrounded
by skulls, mage skulls to be exact. Kneeling at the base of the throne is a small
Felar, and standing before the throne is a large giant waiting to destroy
those who would dare enter this room unwelcome. The small felar appears to be
speaking with the large giant. You can't tell how much of the conversation
has passed, but you sense the felars love for this giant, and in turn
the giant's respect for this felar. This is what you hear.

***
The giant turns to Guenrayn and says, "You have reached a point in your
guild of warriors, where you can learn the legacies of the Monks of Macalla.
What legacies have you learned? Guenrayn turns to the giant and says "The first
legacy that I learned is the study of Harmonious Equilibrium. I chose it to
better deal with the ways of warriors, and those who would slow me down."
The giant replies "Aye, a good choice for one such as yourself who is small,
and easily bashed, and does not fly, so is tripped easily as well." Guenrayn
replies "aye, I figured it would aide me in the war greatly." The giant "Aye
you already have become a good fighter, and this will only aide you, but why
what did you choose for your second?" Guenrayn says "I chose the Vanguards
Desire as my second." The giant gets a puzzled look on his face and asks
"Why would you choose something like that, when there are so many others?"
Guenrayn turns to the giant and states, "My friend, I have sworn my life
as a Defender of this Village. I chose the Vanguard's Desire to aide with
our defense, to inspire those who follow me, and to aide those whom I follow.
My life is a vapor, just a passing thing that will end one day, but you
and this village have stood the tests of time, whatever I can do now to inspire
Victory and hope into my brothers, I will do." The giant looks at Guenrayn
with a smile on his face and says "You my friend, care deeply for us, thank
you."

As you look upon Guenrayn, you notice he has a leather-bound journal in his
lap. He is writing in it with a quill and ink. You wonder if he killed
the bird himself?

***Guenrayn's Journal, Page 10***
Much thanks I truly owe to Rustanviel. He has shown me the intricacies of
writing with quill and ink. He has told me I have learned quickly, which
truly comes as no surprise to me. I have always learned quickly, that is
is why I was a leader among the slaves. Ah, those horrible days within
the encampment. I have been back a few times, and have slain that damn
mage. He was only the beginning though, but in truth, I owe him for showing
me the truth. Now, granted, he didn't sit with me and show me, but the rage
he inspired within me pointed me in the right direction.
So much has happened over the past few years of my life. I feel the vigor
of my life waning as I've fought countless foes, and just from the bastard
we call time. However, time may weaken my bones even more than the mages did
but it will only be temporary. One day my body will give out, and death
will come for the last day. In death, It is my hope that my life will
inspire others to show their dedication to the village, as i have.
I have gained much favor in the eyes of our Lords, and particularily in
the eyes of Lord Intronan. He gave me his mark, and told me it was only a
beginning. I continue to strive to learn more, and I wonder what will be
next. What i might learn, or how the sappers might train me next.
Ah, the sappers, what an interesting development that was. They have begun
to teach me much, I wonder what may come next.

Guenrayn closes his journal, dusts himself off from sitting on the mats
within the shrine of the blood-stained raven, and heads out to do battle.

Khurmen - Well, I tooled you when you were a spectre, then, you liched and started kicking my arse all over thera. Helps to have people attached to your hip though.

Considering I couldn't group with anyone. And after I liched you NEVER fought me without two or three others you have no place even opening your mouth.

I didn't say you did a bad job. I know you can't group with them. But honestly, when you were about, I often saw others right near ya. and yes, we did fight after you liched. In fact, I know you have logs of it, because I've seen them. Don't take it so harshly, you kicked butt, and I recognize that. However, i also know people wanna be around the lich, so you have people around you a lot as well.

Of course he will group with people if he can, because every damn person in Thera seeks to gang a lich, yes even ragers.

I actually saw him alone quite alot more than you.

I wasn't trying to flame Khurmen in any way. We had some great fights before he liched, because yes, I could stun him and work on his zombies. AFter he liched, I would pull him away from them. He still would nail me though, and he was a damn tough opponent. Hand to hand specs parry some things well, but other things truly destroy you. I also saw him alone a few times, but it wasn't as often as other times. Of course we want to travel with others, and In no way am I saying he was weak because he did. I wish he hadn't deleted so fast. Yes, being a lich must suck in many ways, because everyone wants your life. Khurmen can only say how often I came at him with huge numbers, because I don't believe I did, aside from perhaps ona raid. However, like the smart player he is, he didn't stick around if he knew the odds were not favorable in any way. There was one log on DIO's that showed me pulling him outta the fight. I was at like 200 hps after fighting all of his charmies for two rounds, before the pull went through. They were fun times, I meant nothing against Dranolian, but the people who post about me, with no names, are truly idiotic, and can't even flame me and say who they are.

Aaron

PS Dran, if you don't see what I was trying to say now, I'll try it again, but only you can respond to what you wrote.

I seem to like them all. Well done and all that. Enjoyed our fights, except when you would stun me near the chasm and I would wake up surrounded by 4 marans and few warders....*chuckle* That time I chased you into the bloody avalanche and had to suicide to get out was classic....

Hell, the next funniest thing I remember was the time we had the head...Before you logged on about 5 of us Scions had completely tooled the villagers that were about...I think each villager died 2 or 3 times that evening....Well, boom...here comes Guenrayn, all alone, and brings NOONE with him, runs in like a mad-man (I had just finished saying over CB-He wont show after he hears what we have done)...you fought bravely...fell, then got that title 'Footsoldier, impulsive one, or something'...I was laughing hard, but figured you probably got a kick out of that as well.

ALso, you were responsible for one of my deaths after heroing. We had fought in river bed, I was bleeding, hurt, and protections dropping...feathers littering the skies...landed near chasm...and flapped my way toward it...not shifting to a safer form.....Right into some Sassmi briars....got handed my ass...and I blame you for that. *grin*

Take care

We didn't get to fight much til right there at the end, and that was when you guys had all the advantage, but I like that. I love being the underdog actually. We had a couple of good fights, but toward the end, I didn't want to fight a shaman who would just rot me. Rot was quick death for me. It was fun rescuing all my brothers at the archmage to have them fight a group of you guys. Remeber that fight bewtween Kanrill, you, another scion, me Rodonar and Eodid. That was some fun stuff. I think another came to help take you out, but you did really well.

Well, we only fought a few times really, so that I'm mentioned at all is something. Of all the current group of ragers, have to say I honestly respected you above all of them. It didn't matter that you didn't have any powers and an invoker was around that could kill you with two spells. You didn't seem the typical bloodthirst bash bash bash rager, and had some real heart. Shame you didn't have a bit more life left in you, could have gotten to "know each other" a bit better. The way things are going however, you probablly don't want to be in the village anyway right now. Be well.

Great job, Guenrayn. Glad to have tattooed you, and glad to see that you enjoyed it. Forget the orc thing, was a minor incident. The best thing that came out of it was that you just tried harder, and earned your spot back, while never losing the respect of the villagers, so making you general again was so easy. Odd combo, turned out great for you, and you played a defender extremely well. Great villager.

In response to Reply #1

Don't listen to Thror or Intronan: defender's rule, and you played an excellent one. You showed just how tough they can be to kill, and how effective they can be against your enemies.

I knew about the whole orc thing, but wasn't up on the details. My note, basically, said 'Avoid conflict, but if they keep coming after you, and its obvious they are hunting you, you don't have to let them have the first blow in order to fight them.' Everyone is going to have a slightly different take on what, exactly, that entails; the bottom line is, its up to you guys as Villagers to adhere to the spirit of it. If we, as Imms, don't think you are, we'll let you know. It didn't even slow you down, which was good to see.

I'm glad you got the sapper-trained skill. We all felt you definitely deserved it. Hope it served you well.

Finally, thanks for helping with my return to Thera! I had missed it.

Good luck with your next.

Im hurt, really, how could you forget the big spotted kitty that had his brains smashed out of him! Well, Im ok with it. But anyways very well done, I could defend against you if my life depended on it, which it did everytime. Yea, well, I think you killed my about four times to my zip which I am ok at, I have almost no strategy even though I am working on it. I have tried hand to hand felars, get to around lvl 30 as with all of my chars and end up deleting either from not being able to find a group or getting ganged by people who think I am an easy kill, usually take out two of them then BAM! dead, heh, getting off of the subject. Anyways, you were pretty much the scariest rager I had to fight because I knew you would knock me out then entwine, pummel, crushing blow a few times and I was dead. Well done in any case. See you in the fields.

We had very little interaction that you knew of (I hope) but I had a lot of respect for Guenrayn, partly because you bucked the trend with your choice of specs instead of going for the powerhouse that I think many players do, and partly because you were more than a little elusive.

I don't know if I explained to you why I didn't attempt an assassination on you. Suffice to say it would have defeated the point of attacking you in the first place. I hope I did explain, because if not it will have to wait until I die. Anyway, when you stunned me I was expecting to get woken by a gang of however many ragers were on, because most toss aside any sense of honor to get their hands on a some nice gear. I was quite impressed when that didn't happen.

I just posted above, but I thought I would mention something. It was funny when you attacked. I was perplexed that you didn't assassinate me. Funny thing was, I knew you were in town. However, the reason I didn't come back to hit you was because when you hit me, I had less that 300 hps, and had two guards chasing me. You deffinately caught me at a bad time to fight. IF you had truly wanted af ight, I would have given you one anytime. However, that was a cool interaction we had from my point. I kinda posted that above in your farewell.

I actually laughed out loud when I read this. I'll tell you what my experiences were with you:

1. When you raided Scion with Sylvan and Maran, and came both just before, and just after, the warlock conjurer who was with them. I'll post the log if there is enough interest. I.e., all four of our enemies attacking us nearly simulatenously.

2. The only times I heard from you were when you died, and you constantly asked for your gear back, "or just the felar stuff, as you can't use it."

Amusing...truly.

However, that was the situation I talked about. THe other funny part of that was, that when those warlocks arrived, I attacked them first. i made that invoker leave for awhile, and Faralion too. THen I came in, honestly, it was rather bold and stupid of me, and I'll admit that now. However, i Didn't die, and i know you wouldn't. I liked Trajeona up until you started crying about me attacking you with warlocks, and calling me their friend. Thats when I got pissed. I was like, "do you even know what I just did, and how I probably just saved your arse." Honestly, I thik my doing that, truly did help yo ulive through that. THere were a lot of enemies there, and they didn't tell me they were going, I went on my own. I asked for gear back, because I always "gave" gear back. And, if people said no, I typically, did not press the issue. I'm sure once or twice I did for my own reasons. Anyway, I know your good at what you do, don't think I didn't think that, but do think I was ticked at the whole situation. Guenrayn didn't care about you, but did like to be respected...don't we all.

Anyway, thats it, commet if ya like, post the log too

**What makes this log interesting is that it shows what a typical day looks like for us. This would be the odds against Scion from four separate cabals, nearly simultaneously. Guenrayn and I disagreed whether this was appropriate, and we disagreed with how it looked. No, he didn't exactly fight alongside the conjurer…but…well, whatever. At the Base of the Stairs
Here, the harshly cut stone steps descend quietly to a level floor,
descending as the longest edge of a right triangle. The swirling winds
with no visible source carry a malodorous blend of brimstone and the acrid
after-effects of lightning through this place, and faint motes of pallid
light flicker in and out of existence in a dance at the edge of your
perceptions. The ashen stone has been emblazoned with great sigils here,
savagely sliced forth with the precision strokes of a master's hand. To
the south, a gothic and stern opening has been taken from the surrounding
stone, where a faint hum echoes forth. The remaining wall supports a
smaller archway, beside which stands a massive statue.

(Translucent) Faralion the elf is here.
**Faralion being a warlock conjurer. We wouldn't want the village or grove concerned with that minor detail…

You flee from combat!
**What fun. Did Guenrayn and Faralion fight earlier? Briefly. I just thought the above amusing in that all four were apparently more concerned with us than anything else.

Whee...

DISCLAIMER>>>>Yes guenrayn and conjurer fought at one point.

DISCLAIMER PART 2>>>I wasn't going to post this until dead and gone, until the 'whiny bitch' part. I'm crazy like dat.

Wow...thank you!

I have now made it a point to make a mental note to wield a weapon against paladin shield specs.

THANK YOU! Seriously...I don't know what I would to without you advice.

I can now die happy hearing this advice. In fact I'm dying right now. Can you tell? I am.

Again, thank you. Thank you thank you thank you.

Have you ever considered making your own web site? You really should. I would be reading it and thing, "Holy crap, I should do that!"

Thanks!

Really enjoyed all our talks and fights. You also represented to Talfos and to me as a player what Rager honor can really be like when it is done sincerely. Well done and I look forward to your next incarnation.

You deserved it.

You were definitely one of the best ragers of recent. It was strange, after you killed me that first time you returned practically everything, and that was a new experience for me. And what amazed me about you is that if I asked you something or said something to you, you actually took the time to talk to me... intelligently even. That's not something I normally expect from most enemies. And that one night you kept coming back trying to get the head against three of us, and you died I think three times in doing so, but you just kept coming back. You were what a rager should be, and I would just like to say congratulations on a great character.

In many ways, that night was very cool for me. I shouldn't have come back the third time, but i had spy there. He said there was no snare, and just as I walked in to hit the sentinel, Bourndich had placed the snare. When I had you two stuunnd on the river, and i went to hit the sentinel, I thought I might make it. However, bleeding stopped me from living when Yhorian gaunted me. I probably would have been ok. The sentinel was convulsing when you guys came back. Man, that sucked. However, that was the final act that gave me back the generalship, which is probably why I kept trying that night. I was always energized by that kind of thing. If you know anything about Creon, who I named Guenrayn after, he was the same way. I would defend against masters knowing I would die, but knowing that i had a chance to kill them too. Its just how many of my chars are...stupid to a point at times, but loyal and dedicated. I had a follower of Nepenthe in Battle for that reason. Oh well, i miss Nepenthe's religion. Anyway, good job, i liked fighting you. I didn't like not returning your things that last time, when the command had been given.

You were always a pain in the ass to fight. I had to go switch up spears everytime, so that you couldnt strip it and take it. You wisened up in the end and eyejabbed me first then stripped which made the fights a lot closer. Good character even though I hated you as well.

Oh where to start. I think the first time we fought was when Sylister and I were chasing you from one end of the Underdark to the other. Then nothing for a while, and then you hit hero and we fought all the time. I genuinely liked fighting you. One reason, was that you weren't a scout. Spell evasion and critical hit owned me. Another reason, is that you always gave me my stuff back. You showed class. I appreciate that.

As for not prepping...maybe you saw the post regarding my affinities. I had only four shields I'd usually have aura, fly, and usually stoneskin or shield also. Sure, it wasn't a boat-load of prepping, but it wasn't like I was running in with just 'armor.'

There was only one time I was skeptical of you. That was before battle cabal got moved, and I was walking into the dwarf forest alone. You and Palesson came in and double-teamed me. Luckily I was able to word out of that one. What happened there? Just an oversight? A boo-boo? I wasn't 'all tore-up' about it, but it seemed unusual for you to do that.

And you were Dilon, the heroimm also? We ran around together when we were in the late 20's or so, killing shoppies in Thalos. Wow, that was like 6 years ago

Rock on.

Couldn't let you fade away without chiming in my two cents. I've had a number of things put on my plate in RL so don't take my lack of posting as anything personal. I think the immteraction you got in game speaks volumes for the character this was.

>Thror: Well, I died and I didn't get to have Sapper-Trained
>in my final epitaph here on the board. Thank you for
>finding me worthy of it. There are some of the village who
>don't think I deserve anything, however, I don't think they
>ever saw the things some of us went through or tried to do.

The sappers are my own personal little project, with a mix of Kastellyn/Intronan suggestions and RP thrown in. I wish I could elaborate but it's essentially meant for the best of the best in regards to villagers. You fit that mold. You not only led by example but you displayed a huge amount of Courage. When you do things like that and make an immortal feel obligated to reward your efforts, you've earned it.

>I'm not saying I was special, I just know when the odds are
>stacked against me! Anyway, thank you for the fun quest,
>for killing me with Brulgar, and stuff like that. Thank you
>for the confidence in me. Long ago, I disliked you, I left
>the village as Chalin not wanting to return for awhile. I

I remember the post, but I don't remember the circumstances regarding the post. I could probably attribute much of it to lack of maturity on my part. It's taken me awhile to mature into the Battle Imm role. I've always had the motivation and drive to get involved and to attempt to better battle but I've never had the forethought to leave well enough alone and ease off the micromanagement. I am however, glad you gave it another stab and it ended up as a positive for you.

>do remember though, one time when I had written something
>ina note, and you asked me ot come back. Well, about a year
>and a half afte that, I rolled up Guenrayn, to see what the
>"new" battlerager cabal was like. I'm impressed, and one
>thing that helped me a lot before being a rager again, is
>that i've read every R.A. Salvatore book, and I liken you to
>Bruenor Battlehammer. You are awesome, keep the village in
>line for me!

Heh. I love R.A. Salvatore man. You've got to read The Thousand Orcs novel. It's brilliant and at the same time so frustrating because the sequal doesn't come out for another year!!

Regardless, I was hoping you would choose one of the other Sapper Skills. Each is unique and specific and I felt one would have suited you better than the others. You were a perfect example of a villager and I have no doubt that you'll find a sapper or two carving your name up on the pillar.

Well done!

I regret that our playing times were like ships passing in the night. Had we overlapped more then those few occassions we would have wupped a lot more mages. I had nothing but respect for Guenrayn and thought of you, not as a General but as my downtime replacement and I trusted your judgement completely. Grogim loves conflict and war and figured that the Drahk/Guenrayn feud would prove of greater worth to the village if you were both striving to outdo each other but still working under the stipulation that I made at the time about it effecting the village in an adverse manner. I figured that there have been many armies and army officers that dont see eye to eye and it made it feel so much more real that we were not all huggy huggy friends. You leave me with a big hole to try and fill but I hope you will be back as there has been legionaires disease epidemic at the village old folks home and we have lost quite a few though to look at the numbers you would not think it. I often wonder about deathblow too.

Yea, that wasn't the most honorable fight, we were determined to get the link back and I'm surprised that even though he had that bash legacy he lagged u throughout the entire fight of fighting the giant and between just bashes and headbutts you were killed. Was nice fighting you, and I underestimated you the first time we fought, I was on a streak of rager killing between dillo/ram forms and went straight for you while hurt, I nearly gave my life for it. Nice work and after that I never went into a fight without at least minimal protections like I did with many ragers. And that time when you retreived and I arrived horns flying and you just stun me, finish the sentinel, and leave, wow I fell out of my char laughing, it was the best tactics I've seen, most people would of stayed and fought, but you knew you weren't in the position to fight since the sentinel and another shifter already, was nice fightin you, hope it happens again sometime.
