You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

Don't use where triggers.

Don't configure your MUD client to automatically log you in.

Especially don't do both.

Do you bust people for where triggers? I always thought they were kosher, so long as the person is actually still "there" and ready to interact.

The way I read it I think this is a bit more of a situation where someone has gone AFK (EG Gone to work) but has not voided because there client set up has kept them online. Hence the referral to "Auto login" (So perhaps even logging them back on after a crash or attempted disconnect by an IMM) and something to keep the dreaded void at bay,IE Continual where inputs (Triggered/Timed/Etc).
