You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

I started playing Buhlron just to tinker around with utility shapes because I had never really given them a try before. When I ended up with komodo and cheetah I found I could get around pretty much virtually anywhere I wanted to go with enough time. So I tried to think of something to do to pass the time and ended up coming up with trying to see if one person could bring about some type of economy. I ended up enchanting very nice weapons and when the scrolls from the ancient chest were available I tried armors.

I usually had trouble trying to pawn them off though and even offering items in way of trades usually yielded anything of much value. It was just something else I was trying to pawn off. Spend more dang gold people! Just seems like it would be more entertaining if there was some sort of way to give gold more purpose other than being irritated that your prep money is gone if it ends up being stolen or looted.

Even though I did end up massing quite a bit of coin, it just wasn't enough to do what I had in mind. Avram got lucky, I had intended on collecting an obscene amount of pouches to try and pull something off, but then the tinkerer of the inn went and auto'd too, so the device for burning them was out of the question. In the end I just lost interest in it all.

Sorry y'all who donated coin and pouches towards my little cause, I just didn't know where to take it beyond what I had come up with at the time.

It was a good combo to be sure. Still think I actually liked Grizzly bear and Crocodile better, but its up there in my memorable form combos for sure. I think Walrus and Crocodile would be my dream combo though.
