Thanks for the fun Akresius.
The first title was PERFECT, I wish it stayed for more than 1 rank.
I don't remember too much, but shout out to a certain follower of a god of courage who adamantly refused to fight even when I offered to fight him without pets, but would still summon my pets away to screw me. Great rp bro.

I stopped trying with you because your RP was borderline OOC taunting and crap talking. It just turns me off now. Not for nothing, courage != throwing yourself onto someone elses sword and dying to pad their PK ration. Play a baer follower and find out.

but Baer follower seem to be some of the more cautious characters in the game from an enemy perspective. Not all, but a large number seem to interpret don't throw yourself onto someone else's sword as don't fight unless there is no way you could lose (i.e. overwhelming odds).

Summoning a necro army away combined with refusing to fight the necro without that army is pure player hatred. There is no roleplay there whatsoever. That is just medicore douchebaggery.

I asked for single combat from everyone. If you construed that as OOC you need help, sorry.
"I seek a battle" is not ooc.
Usually people whined about my army (I almost never had an army), so I said I won't fight with one. Still nope.
Also this guy wasn't a baer follower. But if you were him, one 2 vs me fight does not "stopped trying" make.

because that was never the interraction I got. Elf sha tanks for crap and honestly it was my first shaman. So I took a lot less risks than I would with a paladin say. but that being said, all you did was whine about me not fighting you, and honestly I don't remember summoning zombies out of spite for you, but it might have happened. If I was summoning them it was because we were fighting and I was trying to separate you from them. But fyi, your "asking for combat" always came across to me as OOC taunting FWIW.

I was uber fragile and never had aura or shield. I killed 3 villagers who I had to work REALLY hard, and get really lucky to kill, while they hit pincer galfrin and I died.
I rode roughshod over everyone, and villagers were overwhelmingly my most difficult foes regardless of their skill or lack there of. But I don't know anything about villager's strength, cause I haven't played 45 of them.

I think people in general are just better about carrying potions, having cash on hand, and getting to healers, but that probably is a factor too. Obviously they won't make it 100% of the time but I think definitely a lot more than they used to. In some ways sleep-based necromancer never recovered from people figuring out that teleport potions were a thing.

I think maybe your potion game could use a refresh. I can definitely carry all the potions I need to survive a sleep + spell up provided I can teleport away.
Usually the difference is one session of getting gold and potions instead of ranking that saves me later.
Slow down! Power ranking kills!

It relates because you were complaining about level sitting, while doing it yourself.
how is cherry picking a pk range 'OK' for scion necro in your book, but villagers who do it are in your own words "douchebags".
I just find your complete hatred of the battle cabal humorous, and I wish you'd seriously play one. I'm curious as to how well you would do, since your opinion is that they are so very powerful.

Lvl 25 villager is. Immune_magic due to spellbane, and resist. Deathblow doesn't even matter at that rank.
Play a lvl 24 necro and tell me how easy villagers are, since I fought them constantly (I never backed down from any fight).

You may be trying to "brute force" the kill. Sleep; spell up; etc. You may need to use different tactics against villagers. You may need to master corpse thrall and be in a graveyard. You may need to summon him somewhere he gets stuck, and thus, you can make his mana deplete and he can't keep spellbane/resist up. It may take you 45 minutes.
I remember having a lot of success with certain village builds at low ranks against mages. My Fire Axe spec specifically (PINCER!). But Palan still killed me a few times (including one evil awesome way) that made me really start thinking about outside the box tactics.

My kills on them usually did involve summoning to the hidden room (Galadon is the farthest most will go from Eastern).
That is exactly it though. I have to use different tactics because no matter who I'm facing, regardless of their skill or lack there of, they're a juggernaut that I have to pull out all the stops to beat. Or get really really lucky. RNG gaming is not my strong suit.
I'm not the best pker, I don't know my way around many basic areas, and couldn't walk blind from most areas, but I don't think I'm bad enough that my beliefs about villagers being too strong at midranks and being too strong for no work is just my being terrible.

It's not exactly that playing Battle will make you think they aren't good, but it probably will give you a better sense of their counters and weaknesses.
Midlevel Battle played well is pretty strong, but there's still a lot they have to be afraid of.

You'll notice my 1.07 gank-o-meter. So ganging isn't an option.
The problem with the summoning thing is that you are talking about villagers that aren't in their usual place. Sure, if they're in Spiderhaunt they're meat, but that never happens.
So I have to prep hard, use the proper terrain, employ elaborate tactics, and HOPE they don't spellbane my ass into oblivion. All while they have to type pincer and I die. That sounds like a little too strong to me.

Potential strength of a level 25 - 30 necro > potential strength of anyone else from level 25 - 30, villager or otherwise. IMHO.
PS It's good to see the PK Gankometer for this character being so low. Necrogankers/Gankomancers can burn in HELL!

Once again, to be fair, if I'm an axe spec warrior of ANY type and a mage of ANY type wants to fight me at level 30, usually pincer is all I have to do anyway.
This is from my last axe spec (level 32) (which is why it's funny people bag so hard on axe specs) :
PROTECTED civilized <xxxhp 323m 535mv 11144tnl (9.03%) 5 PM> People near you: (PK) TheDude The Dude's Warehouse of Doom
*** CHILLAXIN ***
PROTECTED civilized <xxxhp 323m 535mv 11144tnl (9.03%) 5 PM> You yell 'Die, SquishyGuy, you sorcerous dog!' SquishyGuy narrows his eyes and glares in your direction. Darkness begins to overtake you, but you will the sensation back! You maul SquishyGuy. You maul SquishyGuy. You maul SquishyGuy. SquishyGuy has some small but disgusting cuts.
*** ....HEY WHERE'D YOU COME FROM ***
PROTECTED civilized <xxxhp 337m 575mv 11144tnl (9.03%) 6 PM> pincer
You parry SquishyGuy 's flaming bite. You parry SquishyGuy 's flaming bite. Your pierce EVISCERATES SquishyGuy! Your pierce EVISCERATES SquishyGuy! Your pierce DISMEMBERS SquishyGuy! SquishyGuy is gushing blood.
PROTECTED civilized <xxxhp 337m 575mv 11144tnl (9.03%) 6 PM> You drive your axes into both sides of SquishyGuy 's body. Seizing a lucky opportunity, you take advantage of the situation. Your brutal attack DISMEMBERS SquishyGuy ! Your brutal attack MASSACRES SquishyGuy ! SquishyGuy is DEAD!! You land the killing blow against SquishyGuy.

As a necromancer in the 20's ANY WARRIOR who knows what they're doing will be a hard fight for you. Villager or not. And the villagers do leave Eastern Road believe it or not.
Here's how rager-dom works though:
Rager applicant = free pk. Rager between 20-35 - Hard fight for a necro, but winnable. Resist makes this range really ugly for non-necromancers but you don't really give a #### about resist because you're trying to sleep them or scourge them. Rager between 35-40 - Very hard, maybe unwinnable without preps depending their specs. Rager between 41-50 - Depends on how often you have barrier available.
See the thing is, the multiplier for deathblow at 35+ is 3x to 4x in the 40's and 5x for leaders. At level 25, deathblow is only 2x multiplier and they will have like 70% in the skill until they can use skill learn to get it up to 80%+ you won't see it very often at all. Spellbane, likewise, works like crap when you have no other saves at all.
That being said, if you eat a pincer legit pincer and you're level 28 with no preps, you're going to be in a lot of pain purely from the fact that you just ate a pincer and you can't tank axes and your HP won't usually be very high.

I have always wondered about this...
To me, it seems like the "float" is quite noticeable around multiples of 10 lvls
20/30/40/50 All seem to jump damage "verbs" using the same weapons.
I always figured much like the prior poster, that it was a flat # that went up when you hit certain ranks - its cool when you post tidbits like this!

I'd argue that Necro is much easier than village warrior.
Why?
Because you can escape EVERY scenario a battle player can throw at you (teleport/word/etc)
Battle player does NOT have that luxury at all, and you just need to learn how to capitalize. I killed full-blown midbie battle players with my last muter. I only had trouble with them when they had like more than 3 lvls on me.
Will a villager have an easier time killing folks. I'd say maybe, but...at the cost of being much much less conservative
I can play a MUCH MUCH more conservative doesn't die/kills a lot ANYTHING than I can a RBW.

To be equal opportunity and keep both sides honest here... you're really underselling the value of good melee damage + command denial in the midlevels. I'm not saying either is a pushover but I like most midlevel Battle character (even scouts) odds vs. midbie necromancer, as long as they have the head.

You are correct:
But, I believe I am generally correct in saying that midbie necro can 'choose' that fight vs not. Sure, maybe sometimes (having done this recently) you can 1 round a mage?
That being said, in the case of RBW/Scout warrior/whatever..if it were me, I'd generally leave as soon as I saw them in my area.. Teleport is OP.
Have I been caught out and command denied/deathblowed before I could react by village dude - sure, but far few between.
I can tell you from hunting both mages ( a lot) and even hunting midbie ragers...that generally forcing a fight from a midbie rager is 100% easier than forcing a fight vs midbie mage (this is only true if I'm not playing a class with hide/chamo obviously)
I know that people don't put any kind of...positive benefit in being flat-out able to "Avoid" being PK'd (they want to win). But, I put huge stock in being able to avoid PK when desired. I think you value the ability to avoid it too (going out on a limb) And, would agree that any mage should have TONS of ways to avoid such said villager, while still being productive with their character.
You trade some of one thing, for less of another. And that seems true with most of CF.

Homie don't play dat.
If you were an enemy, and I saw you on where and you didn't tp, we were going to have a fight. I never backed down, ever.
Being able to play like a pansy is not a draw for me. I always, always fight if I'm not injured.
