So... I was Voralia.

I'm going to keep this very brief.

So, I had quit CF... Then I heard about the role-contest challenge and it drew me back ASAP. I sent an email to Amaranthe saying that I wished to participate, I rated myself pretty high in both terms of RP and PKing. I was however reluctant to play an empowerment class since I haven't played one since I played Deiha (Scion Lyristeon healer.) And before that it was Amberion in 99 or something.

Anyway! A HUGE thank you to Amaranthe!

Everyone else, please do post, and I'll reply.

I really enjoyed it at first, but I quickly went stale... Goodies doesn't seem to be my cup of tea anymore, the RP just felt... Forced, even though I tried real hard for the first 150-200 hours. The last 100 hours I dedicated to ST 100% off, only the last few hours I went back to PKing, but I never found the RP grove again after the first 150 hours.

1: Paladins... Oooh man is it hard to seal the deal!
2: Goodie RP... *sigh* not for me!
3: Fortress... It is what it is...
4: Rewards! This one is hilarious! I got SO many tells of people refusing to fight me because I was "over rewarded".

So, I'm going to end this with the following: Which rewards do all of you think that I got? (I got 4 rewards that were out of the ordinare.)
And how much imm-xp do you all think that I got?

I'm very curious to what you all think!

Anyway, you know it's time to delete when you see this:

Welcome to The Carrion Fields. Let the bloodshed begin!
It is 6 o'clock PM, Day of Deception
2nd of the Month of Nature in the year 1909.
You know, it's not nice to hoard equipment.

Your the gauntlets of unassailable might has been purged.
You feel less strong as you remove the gauntlets.
Your the Scales of the Crimson Dragon has been purged.
Your a radiant baton of shimmering light has been purged.
Your a holy sword named 'Defiance' has been purged.
Your a silver pendant inlaid with diamond has been purged.
Your a belt of flaming demon scales has been purged.
Your a vibrant green cape has been purged.
Your boots of speed has been purged.
Your a uniform gray sash has been purged.
Your a gleaming diamond circlet has been purged.
Your a ring of solid light has been purged.
Your a shield of pure light has been purged.
Your a ring of solid light has been purged.
Your a wooden hummingbird pendant has been purged.
Your a pair of gleaming diamond leg guards has been purged.
Your a pair of gleaming diamond arm bands has been purged.
You have been outfitted by the Immortals of Thera.
The Altar Room

A white marble altar surrounded with a brilliant holy radiance is here.
Chests have been placed about for spare equipment and donations.
(White Aura) A large man stands here, dressed in the robes of an Acolyte.
A massive Maran Tara'bal is here, watching.

NOTES : You have nine new notes waiting.

Some past chars:
Amberion storm pally
Ckath Arial warrior emperor

Seriously! I had thousands of gold, which I donated 80% of to NPCs and a good bit to players in need.

So, a Paladin can't carry around gold to heal, buy preps, give gold to cabal mates so that they can heal in combat etc?

The comments about ignore I agree 100% with, no good excuse for that really save for me being easily irritated at the time due to RL issues, so didn't want to risk going ooc.

I might have overdid the paladin's code, not really sure, but I never had more than 20 gold as a paladin. I'm not saying I was right, I'm not really sure where the line is to be honest.

I enjoyed Voralia pretty much the whole time, but I obviously wasn't seeing you from the 'other' side of things, so the RP I saw was pretty consistent. Your interactions with various level of Fortress members were solid, and I liked how you helped lowbie/newbies.

That said, it was quite obvious towards the end of your life that you had seemingly no interest in Fortress/Thera stuff, and only going straight to ST for your entire login. Sort of negates any reason to be in Fortress if you aren't going to, you know, actually do anything Fort related.

On that sour note, I will reiterate that I did enjoy Voralia a lot. Always was happy to see you online when I'd login, and I knew IF you weren't in ST, we would be fairly strong together.

I want to stress I really enjoyed our interactions and thought your character was a lot of fun to be around, and people seemed to RP a little bit more when you were around (at least goodies did).

My thoughts from our early fights was stock paladin with a HUGE target but not afraid to mix it up (if not necessarily eager at times, but you were an acolyte so not to be expected) and a good presence for Fort at that time.

Seriously, the way you played it really caught my imagination.

What's more likely, reborn Voralia as a Joan of Arc or Voralia as the grumpy old woman she was for decades before she died?

I find it cool my character caught you on both ends. Gembu was a low level nemesis of Yuolud -- we ran around Galadon for hours. And Voralia was a major pillar for Fort.

Your RP was a good mix of generous, maganimous even, focused completely on spreading hope and revealing the Light, and an impatient, no-nonsense intolerance that I think characterized the Prophetess really well. Epic people seldom rescue kittens stuck up a tree without being snarky, despite what Superman does in the movies.

You were completely awesome. Yes, you needed gold for preps, but you never hesitated handing out 200 to a 1000 gold like candy to characters who needed it. Really well done. I enjoyed every moment with this character, and you kicked some ass too. You never hesitated to charge to the rescue, to fight when you were needed, or offer help or advice.

I do have to say: if you were going to insist on Defiance, you could have led us a bit better I'd done it before with this character, but was hazy on memory. But again, this was consistent of your portrait of an impatient, cantankerous Voralia.

I picked up your PBF as soon as I saw the deletion. Not sure if someone else got there first.

Keep up the great work!

Loved you both as Valanthiriel and Samaiya( the paladin you had wanting to take up a darker path). Probably some of the best RP sessions I've had. As Valanthiriel I always felt threatened by you and your vast game knowledge, yet always tried to compensate as I could. Even when appointed leader I asked if they where sure you where not the best choice. I'm happy you switched things up. And rather saddened knowing that we were on the same side but I didn't get to spend as much time with you and learn whatever you were willing to teach. See you back in the fields soon? Just graduated boot camp for the navy so I'm coming back from a hiatus myself.
