It seemed prudent to offer a bit of depth to Eshval, at least as far as her mythology is concerned. The basic concept of Eshval came about for years of reading, movies and rpgs...but that is another story for another time. For now, just a brief look at her and her religion, and I will be adding to this as I look through too many notes, stories, old gaming adventures and memories.
-The Sacred Texts of Eshval-
I have always been. Some say that I am mad, and that those who are inspired to follow me are infected with the same madness.
Your life is lived for me. Your deeds as you seek my touch are told of in story and song in darker lands. You are the whispered fears waiting in the darkness. You are the devoted, dark servants...the Inspired, who seek my attention and the caress of my hand upon your flesh. You shall stop at nothing to please me. Your lives are lived only for me, to see me, to draw my eye, to be accepted by me, until time dies.
Long have I slept, waiting for a time when I would rise from my crèche. Even sleeping, my mind has watched the passing of time and the rise and fall of civilizations, races, and even gods. My dark servants have hidden in their secret places...waiting until such time as I summoned them forth to fulfill my will and desires.
Those who follow Eshval, will experience a diverse and idiosyncratic existence. Such a journey will be a place of wonder, a place of corruption, a place of silence and peace, a place of horrific, yet exquisite anguish. Within the embrace of Eshval one's fate is never completely written as fate flows around and through those who enter her influence. Eshval uses all. Whether in secret manipulation or open-handed understanding, all are used to her advantage.
Those who seek the blessings of Eshval should only approach if they seek her caress without reservation, and are willing to accept the dark beauty and exquisite terrors that awaits. It is during this journey that each shall find their own Muse that causes them to walk the razor's edge between madness and mad genius. Only by acceptance of the Eshval's inspiration, can one truly find peace and understand the subtle nuances, the gentle yet terrible melodies, and wonders of discovery.
The Genesis of Eshval There are two methods to approach this topic, one being the mundane method which would detail how the concept and idea of Eshval came into being, and the other would explain the Theran history of her creation and existence. In this case, I will address the Theran creation and birth of Eshval and how she came to this point.
Before time was measured beings roamed a vast multiverse of interconnected dimension and spheres of existence. These sphere were not those that exist currently, but are what are best termed as planes of existence. There were thirteen of theses spheres, from the smallest, they extended outwards, with each sphere surrounding the previous sphere, much like the layers of an onion. The area between and separating all spheres was named the Void, and possessed its own rules of existence.
The innermost or the First Sphere was home to beings of immeasurable powers, beyond that of today's gods, and each outward sphere contained beings of decreasing powers until the Thirteenth Sphere was reach, and the weakest of lifeforms existed. The creation of Eshval has its roots in the First Sphere, though she does not claim such as her home.
Eshval is the child of the First Order Primal, Aliera Infinite, who is one of the beings whose existence lies within the First Sphere. The connotation 'child' is not the correct word, rather it is a oversimplification of the creation of Eshval by Aliera Infinite, who happens to favor 'daughters' for her own reasons, and Eshval was one of several.
Eshval Ulraith is of the Black Radiant House of Darokin, and a Marquessa of the Alseigodath (Children of the Dark Air).
Coming- -An early story in her life. -How not to present yourself for her to notice.
-If I hear another person mention a corpse and a furnace, I shall go postal...move beyond the cookie cutter.
