#17, "Good followers of the Black Muse"

I was just curious if you had any good followers currently. I'm playing a wannabe one currently, but I can't find your shrine. I also doubt that Muuloc(I would hope he wouldn't because if I was him I wouldn't help my character) is going to help my character find the shrine. So I'm curious if there's anybody I can talk to that would help me or if I just need to keep searching on my own.

It's NOT easy. It's not very pretty, and it generally means you'll have to suck up some pretty nasty deaths for your beliefs (especially, as I'm finding, as a paladin). But it's also VERY rewarding on a RP level, if you can hack it.

What I think it really comes down to, is being able to properly immerse yourself in the mindset of your character. This has never been much of a problem for me, I usually have the opposite problem. An example would be a character I played a few years back. I played a bard follower of Cyradia, who only killed people he liked. there was this whole long involved twisted role involved, but the long and short of it was that I gave up the character. The mindset I had to put myself in to roleplay someone that messed up was just too disturbing for me to handle for long periods of time. It was a dark place to be, and spending much time there was really uncomfortable for me.

Everyone has a part of themselves they are maybe a little afraid of. If you can find a way to tap into this, you can be a good Eshvalite.

And RP is a big part of the religion...of course, I do like the blood and corpses...a lot.

First off, goodies should be wary...Eshval is EVIL.

I do have goodly followers, and I take each one seriously. But each should be ready for a hard road, Eshval is not a nice person and unforgiving. Never approach unless you have a way to tie your goodliness to her religion...it can be done. I also 'strongly' advise you have a written role.

I also have slaves.

Well, I found your shrine and we talked. The more I play the character, and the more I think about him, the more I think I may be in way over my head. So who knows, I may end up being a slave ;P
I have a couple of questions for you, why can we not see the actual poems and paintings in the shrine? Is that for the future or is that on purpose? Also do any of your followers not have any stuff posted there?

I keep all that is sent to me for future additions. I had to limit what I included in the shrine as it isn't the Lyceum. I have plans to add a few later as time goes on...hopefully. Somethings, you can view, however...you just have to look at the correct angle.

Find a Herald. I know of one in particular who would be a good person to ask not just about Eshval's shrine location, but her religion in general. And I swear she's not gonna giggle constantly.
