As of this reboot, you can buy or barter for items with a level up to 5 above your own (*). List has been adjusted as well-- objects you think you can purchase (based only on level) have prices in white, and objects you don't think you can purchase are colored in red.

(*): Exception: Wands, staves, and scrolls can still only be bought up to your level. You wouldn't be able to successfully use a higher-level device in any event.

Any chance of getting store manufactured items levels looked at? Some of the eq for sale in shops worldwide has a fairly high level for being only so-so in nature. Weapons in the paladins guild/Voralian/KOR, orc shop items sold by the Shaman, etc. I think if the item levels were lowered, the economy would be stimulated.
