You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

#34, "Promotion vs Playing Times"

I have a concern that perhaps you could alleviate...

From the timings Vynmylak and Shokai have listed, I am quite certain my playing times do not overlap with either. I'm guessing then that i'm at a disadvantage from the get go in getting a promotion. How can this problem be solved? I don't want to reveal my character name so I can't give any details in terms of playing times. Generally I play for quite a few hours ever day and they do not overlap with Vyn's or Shokai's.

Thanks in advance.

Truthfully, whether seeking empowerment, promotion, immteraction, leader-induction, etc., we all know that timing can have an impact on a variety of play issues. While Shokai and I perform the majority of immortal-related cabal management tasks, other immortals do provide feedback and assistance to help curb some of the impacts incurred due to timing-related issues.

That being said, it's still good, general advice that if you are having difficulties in catching me, send in an in-game note. I do prefer in-character notes, but sometimes issues require the occassional OOC note; use your judgment and let me know the issue.

thx, Vyn
