Thought I would duel wield a practice whip for practice purposes, however:

A practice whip is a whip, made of leather, and weighs 2 pounds 15 ounces.

A darkling sword named 'elf-cleaver' is a sword, made of iron, and weighs 12 pounds 1 ounces.

You wield a darkling sword named 'Elf-Cleaver'.

wear whip
You stop using a darkling sword named 'Elf-Cleaver'.
You wield a practice whip.
You feel you will learn better with such a fine practice weapon.
Your skill with a practice whip is adequate.

wear sword
You dual wield a darkling sword named 'Elf-Cleaver'.
You are skilled with a darkling sword named 'Elf-Cleaver'.

ie, i'm weilding a 2lb whip, over a 12lb sword. I have tried with a few different swords, with different weights but the same result!

nb: I am a lvl 21 warrior, havent choosen spec yet, incase it might matter.

Only a warrior specialized in whips or flails can dual wield whips or flails.
