Airshield also does not protect against rooms with poison gas in them.... by design?

There is a fire tunnel where you take fire damage, metal heats up and drops, etc.
There is a smoke tunnel where you take damage from poison gas, and can get poisoned.

I still have no idea what you are talking about. I just walked through the entire tunnel in the ashes of nowhere, the entire thing is fire, nothing dealing with smoke or poison anywhere.

I said Trothon, not ashes.
I think it's a poison sector - it might be the same as the swamp in the heart of ysigrath.

The tunnel he is talking about is in Trothon. I believe it is the third elemental part where you encounter the lightning elemental. The area is filled with a poison gas and it hurts you even through you have invoker shielding. Hope that helps.
