They give exactly the same experience after being killed solo as when being killed by a group of three. For being 'hooded' mobs, they also appear to give no extra boost to learning rates at all.

There's a lot of factors in play with respect to experience, but no NPC behaves any differently than any other with respect to group vs. solo.
