I wasn't distorted but I somehow got a distort echo on him while I was fighting him,
Aka
You try and hurl some empty air near Aurilinius

I'd need more information to make a decision on this particular instance, but there are ways for that to happen without a bard being involved, or any affects on you, the attacker.

It took a couple hours for it to hit me what caused this, and I have reason to know better.

Definitely not a bug in this case.
