I was using a maran weapon, the claymore made out of light, fighting the demon lord on the southern side of the duergar city. I was naked except for the energy sword, and he burned my energy weapon. Should he be able to burn energy?

It's actually not made of energy, though it probably should be to follow pattern for the other weapons.
