When you go to fight the demon, sometimes you fight, sometimes the mage just crumbles. Ok. But when the mage crumbles a dozen times in a row and nothing you do lets you fight the demon, something seems wrong. Can you tell me if something is wacky please?

Nothing whacky. It does a random(1,3) and does the scenario. Sounds like you pissed off the random number generator.
