I'm ghostly but I don't seem to be pass door to go north into the demon, and the demon trips me even though I am flying. I have the log if you need. (Zalthilus)

Then how did I get back up to Talshidar to fight the demon? I certainly didn't quaff a fly potion....

Ghosts have a certain exception to particular rooms, they are however, NOT flying. In other words, you can still be tripped.
