Your mental strength increases!

vs Mental: Not protected

Shouldn't that raise mental defense a little bit?
Just trying to speculate through possible options for natural defenses.

Save vs rod would be nice to see too.

To use an analogy, you can be resistant to fire, and still have a bad saving throw against it. Being resistant to mental attacks helps you, but not in that way.

Save vs rod would be nice to see too.

Why? It didn't do anything. It was removed.
