I don't know if it's a bug or not but while you are flying you can be weapon tripped by a thief. While flying you can't be legsweeped so I don't believe you should be weapon tripped.

Anyways just tossing it out there. Let me know.

It's more of a strike than a maneuver designed to take you off balance, and the kinds of things that protect you from it (not flight) reflect that.
