Notice that Felyndiira hits the felar first with iceball before my iceshard, yet the felar is now aggro on me. I wind up dying to it because of damnation from a prior fight with a shaman and can't escape its cutoff. Yay, kill me loot me from a stupid bug

I dunno.

I'm also unsure why the chief got a hit on you ahead of your iceshards.

The only thing that comes to mind is your client scripting has something going on that's messing with the input/output and making the log confusing or inaccurate.

But generally speaking, I would agree with your logic.
