Not all objects can have their taint removed by normal means.

It's that you or someone like you stealth changed it. Why? Also, what gives having no code change notes about it that results in changing an item in a long established area?

It wasn't stealth changed.

Traditionally NO area changes are broadcasted - which is different from code changes.

I broadcast both, with minor exceptions.
