You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#23528, "Escape of the Innocent"

Problem: Escape of the Innocent can cause a Paladin to violate the Paladin's code.

Escape does an automatic remove curse on everyone in the paladin's party, followed immediately by a word of recall. The problem is that remove curse can fail.

If the paladin removes his own curse, but not a member of his party, he ends up leaving him behind, thereby breaking the Paladin Code (#4) and just being a bad friend to have.

Recommendation: If anyone in the party has "remove curse" fail to remove a curse, the Paladin doesn't word himself so his allies aren't abandoned.

We don't tend to code the spells in a way that *forces* you to RP strictly to it.

So if it matters strongly to you, don't use that supp.

Or is it worth the risk?
