When affected by 'confuse' (50 hours? wtf?) it is impossible to look into containers you are carrying or pits/chests in the room.

It isn't a matter of 'keep trying you'll get it eventually', for some reason the way it is coded makes it actually impossible to look into objects, only gives you the option of looking at players.
