which I believe is correct, but many people may not realize...

Shield block seems to be exceedingly heavily based upon your shield's AC.

If you have a shield with a 1 AC vs. bash, you're going to shield block very rarely. If it has a 10 or 13 or something really high, you'll shield block very well against that damage type.
