I have used this item before, but not for year
Last time I died with it in my inventory it fireball scratched me as a ghost and double killed me

Also it only scratched the victim

Was this items design changed to do this like a curse?

Fireball can hit yourself indoors, and you technically may not be a ghost at the moment the sphere fires.
