Fighting Nopilopil, I use Lyristeon's tattoo on him however receive an echo about the powers of the Spire instead of the typical echo that is associated:
A tattoo of a Gaping Maw howls a piercing sound!
The eyes of Victim cross, then float aimlessly!

There is a pillar in the room that you are invoking as well. Since invoke doesn't have a target to say what you are invoking, (the pillar, or the tattoo) it invokes both. The pillar's invoke sees you are fighting and exits out with that echo... probably ought to do the you are not in this cabal check first though.
