If a cabal inner dies to something like poison (while raiders are still fighting it) then the echo shown says something about the item landing in the inner's own hands. Even though he's now dead. IT's as if he were fighting himself and landed the last hit.

Technically when you take poison damage, you are damaging yourself, not the person who poisoned you. Thus it does look like he was fighting himself.
