You keep a wardog at bay with your polearm.
As a wardog moves for your paws, you halt him with a crushing blow with your weapon's haft.
Your retaliation mauls a wardog.

That's a "bat" against the wardog's disarm. He probably failed because he moved for something I don't have heh.
