I have noticed that sometimes Discern Spell works less effectively as the veil gets thicker.

For example, if:
You look around sharply!
You discern that the Veil is very thick.

Discerning someone will show:
Olviera is affected by conjure smoke mephit for a long duration.
Olviera is affected by conjure archon for a long duration.
Olviera is affected by conjure elemental for a long duration.
Olviera is affected by timer for a long duration.
Olviera is affected by fly for a short duration.
Olviera is affected by planar ward for a short duration.
Olviera is affected by stone skin for a short duration.

Instead of the actual number of hours left on each of those timers.

If 'an extremely thick veil chokes magic from the lands,' there will be no timer at all, just the affecting spells.

I cannot say with 100% certainty that this is true for every login, but it's been true several times during the past few weeks.
