You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

There doesn't seem to be any message when you try to disarm with rip and fail. That might be intentional. But it means that you can't see when your rip is failing to disarm because the weapon is cursed, or they have spiderhands up, or something like that. Other disarm skills tell you when it's impossible. Maybe rip should too?

You swipe a midnight dragon claw across the Blademaster's body, cutting him!
The Blademaster's jagged wound spews forth blood!
His weapon won't budge!
The Blademaster is unaffected by your swipe!

There is a function all disarming uses (the disarm skill & rip skill both use it) so they are all consistent.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
