If you just carry a bunch of + moral items it will boost your moral, that is you don't have to wear them.

I'll regret ever mentioning this.

It only changes when you wear/remove them. The Morale code only looks at items you are wearing, not your inventory. Not sure why you think this is the case.

It had like +8 moral on it. The icey body armor for giants? I can't remember its name, but so long as I was lugging it around my moral was extra high. Maybe it was just a fluke.
