I found this item, so I'm unsure of its origin, but it seems
like a scimitar would more appropriately be a type of sword.

The curving steel blade of this scimitar protrudes from a black leather bound pommel. Along the sharp edge of the blade tiny runes have been carved in a language that has long since been lost to these lands.

A curved steel scimitar is an axe, made of steel, and weighs 9 pounds 15 ounces.
