by design?

TARGET ARRIVED!!!!
shaman has arrived.

<624/624hp 492m 411mv 3459tnl (wilderness)> poisondart sleep shaman

shaman makes the earth tremble and shiver.
You yell 'Die, shaman, you sorcerous dog!'
shaman's earthquake MUTILATES you!
Carefully sizing up your target, you release a tiny poisonous dart with a flick of your wrist.
Your poisonous dart nicks the skin of shaman.
shaman yells 'Ouch!'
shaman clutches the tiny scratch with surprise as his eyelids suddenly droop.

>by design?

I'm guessing that you are asking if the poison dart going off after taking earthquake damage is by design? If so, yes is the answer.
