You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

You fade into existence.
Your smash mauls Satebos.
You parry Satebos's defilement.
Arcs of energy connect you to Satebos, dissipating with a feeling of loss.
Satebos's energy drain hits you.
Satebos's cold touch drains some of your life away!
Satebos's deathly touch hits you.
The Unholy Sword of Zurcon glows a deathly black!
Satebos has some small but disgusting cuts.

I don't know of any other progged item that can double-prog in one round of combat.

It's either energy drain, or vampiric touch.

The problem was the switch statement was missing a break, so if you get energy drain, you got a free vamp touch as well.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

"Switch statement without break". Man am I glad C# throws a compiler error on this, talk about common causes for bugs.
