There's a room just north of the north gate of Seantryn Modan that a ranger can creep into and remain camouflaged, but that he can't camo in if he walks in visible. Go north out the north gate until you hit wilderness, camo, creep south as far as you can, vis, then try to camo again.

I can camo & creep into the forest rooms of the costal plains, but when I try to creep into the field room of Seantryn it tells me there isn't enough cover. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

In a Light Forest
The trees are a bit smaller and greener here than they are to your north.
The forest has a more pleasant smell and several types of small animals
scurry about in front of you. Birds sing from the branches of the trees
all around you, lending an air of peacefulness to your surrondings. To
the north, dark and sinister trees with heavy underbrush make that direction
virtually impossible to pass.

You begin creeping in that direction.
