The acid in the worms stomache blows up containers. After you kill the worm from the inside, and get popped back into the room the worm chomped you in, the stuff that spilled onto the ground is not in the worms corpse. It IS, however, still locatable in the worms stomache. Seems it should either poof, or be in the worms corpse after you kill it from the inside out to me.
