I seem to fail as often as I ever did at raising zombies, though I have the spell mastered, as well as spellcraft. Is this just the RNG beating me down?

Today, for instance, I failed 3 times in a row (and counting...). Yesterday I failed 5 times in a row. The best "run" I seem to ever get is two raises in a row.

It definitely works. You'll still fail a lot -- it's just that kind of spell.
