You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#15, "So... what now?"

First of all, was wondering if the Warlock imms were the ones planning out this whole destruction of the tower? You guys get credit or was a fair part Karithia? Anyway, wonderfully played out. Well done.

Next, Karithia dead? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Please bring her back.

So what is it for your two now, are your religions still fairly active? I've had one or two chars try to follow you unsuccesfully and its as if your not getting much time in. Everything alright? I would have thought losing your cabal would be damaging, but if you got something else planned then I guess your ok. Also guess you can't really comment

The destruction of the two cabals was something that was discussed by the entire immortal staff for some time now, and wasn’t something done lightly or by the desire of any single Imm. I know that some people are upset over the loss of one or both cabals, some are overjoyed, but its all for the best and in the end something better will come of it all. As for the plot of the storyline itself, although it sprang from and ended many of the quests that I’ve ran over the last two years, it also had the character input of the immortals who were involved not only in the quest itself, but in the cabals as well (and trust me, it isn’t easy to combine the suggestions of half a dozen immortals into one coherent storyline).

Thanks. Questy storylines are really what makes it fun for me and I’m glad you enjoyed it. At the end it was probably the longest series of global echoes ever done at one time (at least as far as I know of), but I really couldn’t shorten it much and keep the whole story alive.

Sorry. The wicked witch is dead, she’s dead, the wicked witch is dead! For those of you who have known Karithia since the beginning and noticed the slow change in her personality, now you know why. For those who haven’t known her that long and just assumed she was a bitch… well, now you know why

Both Savraeth and Ilraeth are still very much alive and many IC hints were dropped as to the reason behind their disappearance (mostly to individuals who were actually seeking them out for one reason or another). Now that the “Fall of the Three” questline is completed, maybe someone will find them, maybe not. Only time will tell.

But sadly, finding either one of us will remain difficult for near future at least (both for IC reasons, as well as OOC reasons). Those of you who do seek us, stick to it! I can’t stress how important it is to stick to it. Frustration can get to you, but if you stick to it long enough, I will get to you. Sometimes it’s a matter of just missing the character online, sometimes its simply being stuck with something else at the time, and the player logs off before you can finish. Being an immortal consumes a great deal of logged on time and isn’t simply just watching for followers. It’s busting cheaters, working on or creating new areas, guiding new players or running a cabal, the list goes on, so like I said... stick to it and we’ll get to you, even if its eventually.

Everything’s cool. Although the death of something we created from the ground up is hard in some ways, it’s also a relief. Both of us will now have more time to pursue other projects, some of which I’m very excited about about.

PS: For those of you who missed something, or have no idea what’s going on, I’ll be posting all the echoes from the questline as soon as I finish compiling them (there’s a lot).
