We don't like one of the two leaders (let's just say Marshall)and can never find the other (let's just say Captain)? Do you and the other fortress imms induct? Can the other two leaders (acolyte leaders) make a squire?

My first question would be is this an OOC dislike, or IC dislike? If it's OOC, then you can bloody well work through it and deal with IC matters. If it's IC, well as it's been pointed out already, you're going to have to work with them. They're the leaders (hand picked by Shokai) of the cabal you're joining, think of it as working at a job where the guy right above you is a total prick. You may hate him and wish he would die in a massive fiery ball of doom, however knowing that your future at the company depends on him...means you suck it up and work with him. In somewhat of a stronger degree here (since let's face it, a cabal leader is your immediate supervisor, middle management, and a lower VP all rolled into one) you have to work with the cabal leader, regardless of how you feel about them.

Think of it as a nifty roleplay to add to your character, since suddenly you've got a new layer to add to your roleplay. Now not only are you a Maran fighting against the darkness, you're a Maran struggling against his dislike for other lightwalkers.

Do you and the other fortress imms induct?

Yes, but it's a pretty rare thing. Keep in mind, I went with a mortal leader for Fortress because of the extreme frustration caused by people having to go through me. You're now experiencing one of the minor downsides of mortal leaders.

Can the other two leaders (acolyte leaders) make a squire?

Only if they get a Herald to sew one together.

Have to get a response from Shokai on this one. I SEEM to remember from somewhere that he said it was possible, but unlikely. I may have been dreaming and/or halucinating though. In my opinion, try thinking about the likelyhood of getting inducted into Battle by Kastelyn instead of the mortal leader. The circumstances might exist, but I wouldn't bank on it.

Can the other two leaders (acolyte leaders) make a squire?

This is definitely a 'no'... from a technical standpoint, the only command that all four leaders have is 'induct fortress' and the code picks weather you become a Squire or a Scribe, depending on the cabal of the one doing the inducting. So... depending on the council, Squire-wannabes can interview with the Acolyte leaders, but you still have to talk to someone else for the final choice. After all, Acolyte leaders aren't Marans.

If you don't like one of the leaders, that's no reason to avoid an interview with them. Get an interview, argue with them, make your opinion known to them. Maybe even tell them you don't like them in an RP way. Avoiding them is going to cause problems for you in the future, even if you do get inducted. It takes away from your cabal experience, I think. Oh, and a leader doesn't have to like you to induct you. As Yaofhil, I inducted a couple people simply because they qualified and showed initiative, even though they rubbed off the wrong way on me and I didn't 'like' them.

Even if you don't like the leaders, you're going to have to interact with them like Yaofhil said. But not liking them as characters shouldn't matter. If your RP suits the fortress they'll hopefuly see past the issues between your two characters. A leader more than anyone has the "greater good" in mind than anyone
