You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

I'm alive, barely at the moment (sick..whee)...still working loony hours of late and in the time I have to myself I've moved, and been sorta doing a bit of the ole dating thing. Women, they tend to take up a lot of spare time y'know.

I'm still alive and I lurk about on the forums reading, but sadly, my in game presence is still sorely negligable. There's a rumor going around that my hours are going to stablize around the end of march...but I've heard the rumor before and don't put *too* much faith in it. We shall see what comes of it though.

As for music...everyone should pick up the new Modest Mouse album when it comes out in March. Johnny Marr (formerly of the Smiths and The The) has joined up with the Mouse and I've got a really good feeling that it's going to propel and already amazing band even higher up the enjoyment level.

He toured with them when I saw them in the fall here in NYC. Was a solid show. Was good to see him, hadn't seen him live since I saw the Smiths back in the day.

Coincidentally I've been thinking about The The recently because This Is The Day is now the music track on a current movie trailer/advertisement. Soul Mining is still a terrific album.

If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and pick up Boy Kill Boy. Good stuff.
