Hey Guys,
Was just wondering about something....
Do you have a set number of Maran that you allow or strive for?
Or is it purely based on the quality you see in the character no matter the current number. I'm not currently playing a maran/squire but I have tossed the idea around and I wondered if the current number of Maran or lack of etc.. would have an impact. Not that I'm maran hungry and expect rewards, but i'm curious as to what goes into the Maranation decision.
Any input would be great.

It's based solely on merit. I know some other cabals limit numbers, but it has never been necessary with the Fort. There have been rare times when we closed inductions for a bit, because the Fort was just overpowering, but that's only happened once in the last 8 months or so that I can remember.

I suppose it would be possible for the Council to agree to hold inductions due to numbers too. Unless it was absurd, I wouldn't stop them from doing it anyway, and I don't think Shok would either - if it made sense. It has never come up though.

Not that I'm maran hungry and expect rewards, but i'm curious as to what goes into the Maranation decision.

Well, we know from YOUR past characters that you probably wont even be able to get inducted, let alone become a Maran! So it's all a moot point, isn't it?
