I understand what you say about not changing our habits in order to seek an audience with you, but does the same apply to empowerment? I can continue to explore Thera and perhaps interact with some folks. But, I have found that most of my friendships tend to start with grouping, something I don't really want to do because advancing now just moves me father into my "unsupported" skills and makes me a more ripe target for PK.
Basically, and this may very well just be because of how I tend to play, a lack of empowerment feels like a sort of barrier to me really starting in on this characters life. I don't want to level, and really I'm afraid to even start making friends because should you decide I'm not worthy I'm essentially dead in the water.
I've been at CF for a long time, but this is the first time I've tried an empowered class, so I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing I guess.

As a general rule I try to talk to empowerees as sson as I can, generally after I notice the pray I'll stat them, read thier role(if they have no role, then I tend to just sit back and watch them) and then talk with them about thier sphere (and since most of them fall into the next group as well, they get asked about Shok's path as well) and if they follow Shok, they get asked about the whole religion thing.
Tattoo and cabal I tend to be much more strict about, since I see those as additions to a class, so they're something that really need to be earned. Empowerment on the other hand needs to be earned, but proving that you've earned it, IMO, (and since it's pretty crucial to the character, and something that happens at a low level) isn't all that hard.
anyway, before I keep rambling away at this, hope this answers your questions.

The bar is really high on tattoos, there werent many when I was alive, and I got mine when I was almost a hero.
You really raised the bar since I had last played a skyborn. It made getting the tattoo that feel like a real achievment
